I planned on that and cmc as well. Probably add the icon bump stops too

Nothing like paying full price for a production unit and then having the company say it's a prototype and they need some test mules ;)

Part of it is because I knew no one had installed them so I had a bunch of doubts insalling them.

You have make a blind guess of how much wheel well to cut out. Seems like you need to cut way more than you think. I had no pics to go off of so I just guessed and cut away.

After they are installed, even with a ratchet strap I couldn’t get them closer than 1/2” to the frame. They just have you weld the tube to the frame. Looking back I should have welded a plate to the hoop and the plate to the frame.

You lose your factory bumpstop. There isn’t room too modify or add anything. I got the smallest hydro bump I could and jammed it back there. However it has about 1/2” until it makes contact with the lower arm. So not even close to ideal.

Few other minor things that could have been solved with some instructions.

They worked out in the end. Just maybe not the best option. Obviously since they pulled them. I might email them and ask about it.

    Seriously.

Especially when they said it mocked up their truck fine and I must be doing something wrong. :rain:

At least as long as it close I can make it work and planned on going to hydro bumps when I put these on so I'll have to see how it works out.

Everyone here said it was a bad idea to run them like I do. Some people said you don’t need a bumpstop if you have a bypass.

I didn’t dare to not run one. A king 2.0 shorty fits but you are running on the bumpstop for a lot of the travel.

    Yep sure is. :D

I have the 2nd gen so wonder if they changed anything from mine to the 3rd gen for the suspension. I want to look at setting the bump stop off of the upper control arm anyway cuz that's where everyone said is best. I'm going to order the shocks and bumps next week so I'll haft to wait for probably 6+ weeks before they get to me to start fitting.

Yes. For the most part. Around that time you’ll have warm or cool day. Some times we’ll get a cold front move in and drop some snow but it doesn’t stick around for long because it will be a wet snow. It would melt by the following day. You should be good. I think most trails would still be closed. You would be better asking the locals here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/colorado-b-s-thread.131441/page-6939#post-16890165 right before you head this way.

You can't bump off of the UCA unless you have some serious aftermarket fully boxed spindles. If you bump off of the UCA with OE spindles they will fold...I'm not even sure if gusseted spindles can handle those forces

Why not just use super bumps (or something) in the factory spot?
