Sorry, I could have elaborated much more. Here is a very light weight breakdown:

A few specs
Superbright (SB) Fog LEDs:
1700 lumen
13w
6500k

Rigid Fog LEDs:
1760 lumen
22w
5500k

Interesting things to note, the SB LEDs claim 1700 lumens with 13w when the far more expensive Rigids claim 1760 lumens with 22w, or 1.7x the power for almost no difference in output. Seems unlikely, which leads me to suspect the 1700 lumen output is overstated for the SB LEDs. The SB LEDs match identically to 2 other brands I have purchased, all at much higher pricing than SB. Now the other brands cite different specs and different LED chips, but the exterior down to the packaging and the box that they arrive in are identical. So only testing will tell if there is a difference. But typically the you get what you pay for holds true.

Their output pictures seem to show flat cut off for fog, and the lens pattern is the same design as several of the other LED pod fogs I have.

The 6500k color temp spec of the SB is higher than ideal. High color temps in the blue light spectrum are not your friend for night driving or fog use. You want close to 4000k, which is lower than LEDs fogs are going to provide, so the closer the better. Rigids come in at 5500k which is better.

The water resistance rating is among the lowest of all the fogs and pods, but equal to that of the Morimotos.

Note that SAE certification on a product is a self certification process so the certification is only as valid as the credibility of the company. So be wary of any Chinese companies on eBay claiming SAE compliance. The there are multiple SAE compliance patterns, the one with the cut off for street use is SAE optic J583. Many LED pods will say SAE but then if you read the code it is high beam/driving light certification, which means it is not acceptable for low beam street use. J583 is the fog cut off compliance. The SB LEDs appear to be J583.

I haven't hooked them up yet, I have way too many LED pods/fogs to install on my truck for testing purposes, so I am building a large test rack which will position them all at my Baja (OEM lift) Tacoma stock fog height for the initial phase of testing. This thread is in the works but this stuff takes time. So when I say 'next thread' I meant I will have a comprehensive analysis of every single LED SAE fog pod and LED drop in fog for the Tacoma.

Most other LED pods I have came with some sort of wiring harness, the SB LEDs came with nothing. The LEDs just have a short raw wire ending with no connection, so this is a complete DIY wiring job. That said, if you picked up some CaliRaised adapters to mount them in the OEM fog location, you would just need to pick up some H11 connectors (2012-2015 Tacoma) and wire them to the LEDs. They would then plug directly into the fog connectors and be controlled with the OEM fog switch. The LEDs would consume 26w total, compared to the 110w halogens they replaced so there would be no power draw issues.

There is an important understanding in lumen output numbers for LED. LEDs cite lumens in Raw numbers, which is basically theoretical per chip multiple by number of chips, when the chips do not operate at theoretical maximum. So the LED rating is higher than actual output, actual output may be 2/3 of the raw rating but it all depends. The H11 fog bulb in the 2012-2015 Tacoma (which is the headlight bulb in 2016+) is good for ~1300 lumens. If you take 1700 lumen LED fog and multiply it by 2/3 you get 1133 actual lumens. Which is less than stock, but the beam pattern may be more focused than the widespread stock which may make it appear brighter, similar to the effect of the Morimotos.

I have lots of pods to test, and without testing using a control point I cannot really say if this is a good buy or not. Price point is obviously very attractive.

I'll be working on a different lighting project this evening, maybe I'll build a quick harness and wire them up for a handheld indoor garage shot.

Yes those are the SuperbrightLED fog pods. The garage surface is metallic so it is a bit reflective making output hard to judge in the photo, but the cut offs look nice and clean.

 

I've been running these for a few months now, albeit after some modification... I needed flush-mount pods to go with my Labrak inserts for my ARB bumper; however, SB would not offer these in a flush-mount, so I had to buy these and a pair of their flush-mount pods and swap the front bezels. Once all that was done I was quite pleased with these LED fog lights. While I don't have the details and experience that @crashnburn80 offered above, I can firmly, subjectively, say that these work really well... as implied above, the cutoff is clean and visibility for me is much improved over my original ARB fogs. I've used SB consistently for years now, and like all of their other products I've tried, I would not hesitate to recommend them...
