    If I did go with fx-r's I'd still find a way to use the stock rubber boots. You'll not anything that big to cover that big hole.

    Just get the d2s v4. Supposed to be just as good if not better than fxr and require no mods to the head light to fit.

    Thats what I have, still stretched the rubber boot cover to fit the d2s bulb opening.

    Bailey and I cleaned up the garage. (Nice to have it back to where it should be after the Christmas decor etc is put away)

    Decided to clean up the engine compartment too. Wanted to have it clean before doing the water pump, timing belt etc.

    I just bent it back. I bent it the other when I was rocking my truck back and forth out of snow drift, sagebrush sealed the deal.

    I reallly have no need for real skids, don’t ever remember feeling When I’ve came down on a rock or something. Mainly because, you know, ima poser that just drives mountain roads.

    But something that isn’t rusting apart is definitely on the list.

    So... been thinking about what you said. Definately going to change the radiator when I do the water pump etc. (some of the parts already on order, more parts being ordered now).

    I'm looking in to ordering the radiator and I'm seeing two different sizes. (approx) 18 in, and (approx) 22 in, measured from tank to tank. I believe I'm the larger of the two, but it's impossible to measure without having it out of the truck.

    I am a 3.4L, Auto, Prerunner, TRD... BUT... I am going to be swapping to 4x4. I'm pretty sure the Prerunner has the same radiator as the 4x4, but would like to know for sure.

    Anyone have input on which size radiator I should order?

    The auto radiators are bigger as they have a built in tranny cooler at the bottom. That's the one you want.

    If I could do it over I'd go with ds2, fxrs are a fucking pain. But it's too late for that now...

    They’re wore out, can’t really have down time. It’s a ways off probably just gonna but some blocks for my stock shocks while they’re being rebuilt.

    Not with fxrs, there's nothing to attach it to, you have to cut it off. But what I'm wanting is something to cover the bulb itself.

    Well.... I’ve had them for 1.5 years and got them used, so who knows how long the PO had them. 40k is probably what I put on them (I’m not a role model for maintenance, obviously).

    From what I’ve found it’s aboht 120$ish per shock plus shipping and whatever. I’m almost positive it’s possible to do yourself, I just don’t trust myself.

    doesn't have to be 'attached', just stretch it over the opening, put some lube on it if you think its gonna be tight up in there. all men should know this by now

    120 per shock ain't so bad, the extra dough you have to spend though for no downtime... did you look into renting a truck/suv?
