Ok guys, moving to Worland in 2 months. I have a stock 2017 Sport 4x4 (wish I would have gotten off-road but lived where unnecessary). I do have some wildpeaks for tires. I can't imagine liking the sport suspension doing stuff in Bighorns and BLM land. I don't have an interest in doing slow rock climbing type stuff. Would rather go faster through deset and BLM stuff. Any recommendations on changing out suspension for Wyoming, Montana, Utah terrain? I know a little about progressive vs. Digressive type systems. Also I am going to upgrade lighting. I will change out my low beams to the CN Hyluk LED. What about fog lights? I was there in October interviewing and blown away by all the deer. What set up do you guys run for fog/ditch lights. Have both each with a purpose or try and do both through one set up? Amber's for fogs the. Just some properly directed ditch lights? Thanks in advance, I am looking forward to this move and enjoying all the outdoor activities Wyoming has to offer

 

Well. Depending on budget you can do a lot with the suspension.

If it where me, I do for a full mid travel setup from MCM fab. Comes with MCM UCAs, ADS coilovers with resi's, Deaver rear leafs and ADS rear shocks. Not cheap at around 5k i think. But most good mid travel setups are around that. My dad has something similar to this and it rides like a dream through just about everything.

But like I said, tons of ways you can go with this. Either way, some nice UCAs and a good name brand CO will be best up front. Get some rear leafs that will work with your truck's weight and then some good rear shocks to valve correctly.

A setup like that will be quite versatile and fun to drive around.

For light, I use Ditch lights every day and they help a lot. Im planning on adding some forward spots though as the front of my truck view area is a bit dark as I have the ditch lights angled outwards.

Can't say much about the LED head lights, no idea if thats worth it. Doesn't Baja Lighting have a kit you can swap in some of their lights for your fogs? Might be worth it.

Either way. Deer are just something you'll get good at dodging...until you won't and hit one. Just accept the possibility. You might want to get a front bumper to prevent serious damage. Add collision to your insurance and make sure it covers animal impacts if you can afford it.

 

Things are looking good for the single cab. Motor is newer. Only 70k on it. Said all the mechanical stuff has been replaced. New timing belt and water pump and suspension and clutch flywheel. Few dings here and there..duh. have someone going to go look at it in person. Just need tires.

 

Price negotiable or pretty firm?

 

Eh. Not super flexible. But a touch since I'd need to put on new tires if I came and got it.
