    51lbs is good for a 285, the E 265 is 54lbs

    Are those 285/70 17's KO 2's?

    Is this a new tire for them? I've never seen that size in a C load. Maybe I've been asleep at the wheel.

    Just checked the BFG web page and sure as shit they list them as KO2's.

    If it says Black Side Wall but you want the white side out, can you just install them that way or is there some significance to that?

    I believe so, until they put out a version that just has the black sidewalls!!! Yeah, have been looking at c load 285s for a while now, and just saw this!!

    7-8lbs lighter is definitely a plus

    It's still a bigger, wider tire with added rolling resistance but I like the C load in this size

    Just read today in an engineering publication the next gen Jeep Rubicon is coming stock with 33” KO2s. Pretty sure the new C-load 285 KO2 isn’t just because BFG thought it was a good idea, but because Fiat/Chrysler refused to put an E-load tire on their new Wrangler.

    But they are in 255/75R17, which is about the same size as 275/70R17 but narrower.

    BFG developed these for the new Wrangler Rubicon. I have one on order that should arrive by mid April with these 285x70x17 black wall in C load range. I plan to immediately change to 315x70x17 in D range. Will sell these 5 brand new take off tires at 50% of retail. I live in the Seattle area.
