    I can help if you need it. Pretty easy really, just need a compressor, some sort of air manifold, pressure switch, relay to control power to the compressor with the input from the pressure switch, and some sort of switch to control it all from in the cab.

    The "techs" at Firestone have dropped mine on there heads a few times. Nor sure how one doesn't see a piece of 3/16 steel as being heavy before unbolting it.

    You didnt put a tank in? I did on mine and it seems to be nice to those compressors they got pretty warm. 4:30 to fill all 4 32x11s from 15psi to 33psi.

    Well, I just got home from a gigantic pain in the ass maintenance: Replacement of Main Leaf bushings.
    Let's start with the hard side - driver's side.
    Breaker bar was laughed at by the bushing.
    Gathered the sawzall and after 4 blades, 4 battery packs and at least an hour or more, the bolt was cut off at both ends (only on the drivers side only).
    Committed now.
    Then hammered the cut bolt shaft, not noticing the bolt sleeve was fused to bolt AND the bushing.
    Turns out the bolt, bolt sleeve, bushing AND the leaf sleeve were all fused together with rust and bushing material.
    "F"!!!!
    Grabbed drill and drilled out the bushing material and after 20 minutes of material removal, the bolt/bolt sleeve were out.
    The remaining bushing material was removed by the combination of:
    Razor blade, knife, 1 1/4" hole saw, chisel, wire brushes, rasp/file, mini wire wheel.

    And now the fun part...

    Bought the Daystar's greaseable bolts and bushings from Wheelers and clearing informing several times that I have Dakars for 03 Tacoma. I also bought rear shackle bushings at the same time.
    Test fit the bushings and they are 1/8 in diameter too big -> they don't fit in the leaf loop hole.
    My bud had extra OME main bushings = same size = so its not the Daystar's NOR the OME bushings.
    We ended up trimming the OMEs down about 1/8" all around with multiple test fits and finally they fit.
    Torqued down to 116lb.
    4+ hours...

    I didn't buy these leafs but I did peal of the Dakar sticker off the passenger side leaf.

    Any thoughts on the leaf? I have to do the Passenger side next week...

    Nope, no tank here. I thought about putting one in but really the only thing that would aid in would be use of high consumption things like air tools and I don't have much plan for that. I've never timed how long the compressors take to air up but it is pretty quick, usually finished before friends. Heat hasn't been an issue yet, I have the hood open when I use them but they're both 100% duty cycle at 150psi or so.

    I really doubt that would happen, bet it is just the flexplate. You did everything else that should have been done by the looks of it.

    My Dakar's came without any bushings so I never had to endure removing stock style pressed bushings. Hopefully the other comes out easily for you!

    I sure hope so. That grinding I heard makes me think I blew out some of the planetary gears or something, who knows maybe even the torque converter broke itself.

    Be pretty hard to do with any Toyota engine's power unless that tranny was already on its way out or you decided to test it with front wheel brakestands haha.
