These are aftermarket; Toyo Open Country RT in 265/75/16.. I sold the stock wheels about 2 weeks after i bought the truck and have had these for just over a year now. I really like these tires which is why I decided to stick with them for the new wheels just a few sizes bigger

Looks good. I have the factory Toyos on the Sport and they just look tiny and “mini van-ish”. Just hard to justify a grand for new tires when I only have 5 thousand miles on the truck. Maybe I can catch a nail in a sidewall and tell my wife they don’t make the ones I have on there anymore so I need 4 new ones.

There are people on this blog that might help you out with that nail in the sidewall.

I did not want to trim anything at all. That’s why I did that size. If I did the cmc and trimmed some plastic 285s would fit.

I think 275/65r18 would be the equivalent to what I have. Not sure the 275/70r18 would fit without trimming something.

Ya I think those would be the equivalent size. I would prefer the 70 just for a bit more sidewall but I'll have to find out

Besides the hood is there any other reason to pick a Sport over Off-road? I don't see one...

The hood, fender flares are color matched, rear bumper is color matched, but that is about it.

Besides cosmetics, which is what is more important to me, I would still go with a sport over an off-road. There is no way I would ever use either one to their full off road potential.

For me there were not many choices for an access cab in rear wheel drive. In late 2015 all my local dealers had were SR and SR5 trucks in access. I liked the scoop the 17" wheels the color matched flares the color matched bumper caps the grille and the pkg features over an SR or SR5. If I had a rear wheel drive off road to compare who knows. I did not realize for 6 months that they initially made off roads in rear wheel drive. Never understood why they did. I actually had to drive 4 hours to another state to find a Sport access rear wheel drive which I got for roughly the same price as an SR5 in my area. The only thing I now regret is not looking at 4wd trucks. I don't need 4wd but was afraid it would kill the mpg. If I knew then what I know now, that these get great mpg, I may have looked more at the OffRoads. To me either Sport or Offroad were just better optioned than the SR or SR5. Very happy with my choice and I really do like the scoop and the color matched flares.

You can get a sport upgrade that includes sunroof, correct me if I’m wrong but I have not heard of or seen any off roads with a sunroof
EDIT: I have been corrected but the off-road is not available with sunroof in Canada. Thx

I thought they didn't put sunroofs on the OR, structural integrity with the possibility of flexing while off-roading the sunroof would break.

My mistake then. I’m also up in Canada and I believe we don’t have some of the same option packages as you guys
    :(wish I could’ve gotten a DCSB auto)

Canadians. Isn't it bad enough we let Texans in the forum.
EDIT: I would like to apologize to any offended Canadians. There is no excuse for me comparing you to Texans.

Yes, Toyota made it part of the "Premium" package for both the sport and OR.

I’m just here as an enthusiast for these awesome vehicles that we all have in common. I don’t really care where someone is from, a nice truck is a nice truck

Yes packing is weird up here. OR only comes in short bed with automatic in the double cab in Canada. No sunroof, but has nav, auto climate, heated seats push start as standard. Also standard painted rear bumper which is nice.
