Who was driving the 4runner and the white 1st gen? #4 and#5 in the parking lot pics. Are they TW members? I think the one guy was named Harrison.

I'm calling them 4runnerGuy and White1stGen unless someone tells me different. Pretty sure 4runnerGuy was Harrison, though.

Robert in 02 tacoma and Harrison [my nephew] in 4runner.We had a great time,Harrison just got his restricted permit and was a little worried about what was on the other side of bridge, did'nt want to slow the group down or take a chance on messing up his new ride.He learned alot and had a good time, wanting a cb now lol

He did great and after the bridge wasn't to bad. If you can get him out there and just go a little further each time as well as join in on some of the URE trips it is a good learning experience and get his confidence up. No worries about slowing the group down would rather get more people into the hobby than push them away because of going slow.

Had some good stories to tell when I got back home. In-laws were into it, so it worked out well!

We almost made it to the border, but the sun was getting low and I couldn't be sure how much further it was, so we turned back at one of the last camp sites where there was room for us all to get turned around.

Time to do that 4wd conversion! Serious, though, you and your truck rocked it! I was dubious in that one big washout, but you went right though.

That gravel is a recent addition in the last month or so. It's getting broken back in pretty quick, though. Couple more months or so and it should be a lot better. Still a steep hill, though...

I think some of the Jeepers on the other side might have gotten a pic or two. No idea what their group was called, if anything, though.

I've never really aired down much since I'm at stock height and need all the clearance I can get, but as soon as I get lifted, chopped, trimmed, etc and on at least 33's, I'll definitely be airing down.

That campsite down by the river if we have a group the size we did would be the optimum spot for that many, or any group larger than a couple of trucks compared to the others we passed by.

I might be able to make that. Well see, school starts back up this week and it'll be a busy last semester. Hopefully have a new job as well so I'm unsure what my days off will look like.

I think Harrison did great, especially at the bridge when he had to go down that small ledge. I wish I did this stuff when I was his age! I was up in Wisconsin driving in snow storms the first time I ever got behind the wheel and it was a great learning experience. I say the more the better, as long as it is in a controlled environment. You get to learn a lot more about your vehicle and how to control it.

4 pages is a breeze to get through. You just kind of skim through unless there’s a conversation you want to get in on.
