I agree this wasn't the best thing to do with the dog but.... my son and daughter-in-law work with rescued Pittys, they have 3 of their own, and I know often the shelters and full and simply cannot take in additional animals. Maybe this was the case? Who really knows. What is known is the dog was left during the day, with food, a kennel (cage), it's favorite toy and a note asking for someone to take it in. There are far worse options the previous owners could have resorted to. Seeing the efforts the owner made, I'm betting it broke their heart(s) to have to do that. Is that really worse then dropping off a baby at an orphanage or firehouse or police station? To me, it seemed pretty humane.

Of course this is all MY opinion, if you disagree that is your right and I respect that. If you agree then we are of the same mind.

So, does anyone know the outcome of the dog?

 

Baltimore is deceptive like that. some neighborhoods look super ghetto, but are actually nice. then there's the places that look upscale, but are not places you want to linger in for long.

It was taken to a shelter by somebody and is available to adopt by what I saw on FB

 

Barcs has him last I read. Luckily good samaritans found him and not some thugs that would've used him as a bait dog. I work a block from this park and i remember a few years ago little punks were hanging cats on the swing sets by their tales and letting their pits attack the cats. Cats would be found mauled to death in pieces. What's going thru these people's heads if that's what they do for entertainment!

I have to agree here. No one really knows the person or family’s situation, or what options have been attempted before it has unfortunately led to this.

Wasn’t there a story on the news last year, where a street camera captured a guy throwing his dogs over a cliff?
