Why would locals hate me? And why is Boulder not a part of Colorado? I am sick of the shitty vibe in California. I would move back to PHX but honestly it is way too hot and I love the mountains / snowboarding. Figured I could finish my degree in Boulder and get used to the state a bit there first...start a business then eventually move west of the Rockies. Would love to start building up my truck a bit for out there too and do some camping trips and off roading.

 

Everyone on the front range is friendly and super welcoming to newcomers, especially from CA or TX.

Just don't come to the mountains.

 

That is funny you say that because I have family that is about to move to Steamboat. Can't tell if you guys are just trolling me or if people from Colorado are actually this rude . . .

Hate...... because some locals act like they own this country. They are tired of every one moving here to Colorado. They feel like it’s over crowded and annoyed with it. Just blow it off. Even though It does get annoying when I actually served my country over seas and these civilians act like they can tell me to leave. Bitch please. Don’t pay any attention to it. So don’t take it the wrong way. I’m done talking about it.

There are a bunch of great people here willing help you with your truck. The TW community here get along fairly well.

 

It's referred to as the republic of boulder. It's full of people with their heads so far up their asses that they don't notice the beautiful location they are ruining.

There's a great group of people out here and they are mostly just fking with you...just be sure to bring your guns and your sense of humor with you from Cali, they don't use them anymore anyway

P.s. CO doesn't rival CA prices if your from anywhere on the coastal counties, but it's not as cheap as you will expect especially in Boulder or Denver proper.

Dang that is a bummer. I can relate to that though as it seems like the entire country is moving to Southern California to the point where driving 25 miles on the freeway takes 1.5hr due to the traffic. And I have to live 25mi from my office because rent is beyond out of control near my work (Encino / Sherman Oaks).

I just cant imagine Colorado being nearly as bad as statistically there are less people. My aunt lives in Big Bear, CA and has since the 80s and she always complains about the tourists coming and trashing the mountain, causing traffic, etc. so I can understand that but honestly it seems silly that people from CO are bashing new comers who want to come and help to make the state a better place with a better economy.

A lot of people complain about Californians having arrogant attitudes which is very true but the last place I'd expect to find that is in Colorado. I guess I have a lot of learning to do lol

 

You know how California is a beautiful state ruined by "Californians" well now those same "Californians" are satisfied having ruined that state and are on the claim their next victim state. These "Californians" are mainly described as a certain type of people not necessarily referring to actually Californians. Just like soon enough everyone will hate those stupid coloradans, but it's not us they'll hate. It's those same Californians that came here along with the Texans and those east coast people. The front range will be a complete socal 2.0 soon.
