    Wow, that is pretty bad.

My mother in law had a big problem with rats getting into her attic and crawl space. She contacted several exterminators and found one that focused more on keeping them out then just killing them. He went around the house and sealed up every opening he could find, then set traps for the ones left in the house. Finding out how they are getting in and blocking them is an important step.
    Good luck.

QUESTION/HELP: What can I do with my stock tires? I want new beefy tires. Anyone want these? I plan on getting some new tires ASAP. Let me know if we can work something out... Otherwise I may just let them go to the shop... Again I am in Downtown San Diego area. I work between a few military bases so let me know.

Yeah, you'll be at 50 in no time at all. I've had real good luck selling tires on CL.

Downtown SD you say? Hey there neighbor, I'm right off the 163 and Friars rd. Welcome!

Also, if you don't mind a used set of tires and can swing a larger size, I have a set for sale:

Only needed if you changed your suspension or if your tires were wearing oddly. Otherwise no need, just fresh shoes!

Sold my stock tires here in the “wheels and tires market place”. Had a lot more responses on cl but everyone either extremely low balled me or flaked. TW folks seem to be much better in those regards. Sold mine with the wheels too.

Have you tried the 5 gallon bucket trick? Make a little ladder up to the top and fill it halfway with water. Put a few of them around where you see the rats most often.

And on the knock sensor deal, I've done a couple, they are a massive PITA. You are supposed to pull a cylinder head to get to it!!! The guy I did it for last time got a quote for over $2K for the repair, I was able to do it for less than half. Once you pull the intake its buried between 2 water pipes that are strategically placed to make sure you cant get a human hand in there!! I have misdget hands and stiff couldnt really reach it, had to use long nose pliers and a shit ton of patience!! I also wrapped the new harness in aluminum foil tape, however there is also Cayenne pepper tape that works great from what I hear!
Sorry to hear about your rats!! Let me know if you need an extra sniper sometime, I am pretty decent with a pellet gun, I have a ground squirrel that I need to put down, the bastard is digging MASSIVE holes!!Oh shit as a matter of fact I can see him right now, lol..sure enough when I get up to get the rifle he will be gone!

CBX sounds very unique, pain in the ass to tune the carbs though, lol. And BMWs are really good handlers as long as you can keep the cylinders off the ground! Ask me how I know....oops!

Nah, only if you beat your truck off road or changed suspension.

I haven't done the bucket trap(s) yet but I probably will.
Have over a dozen snap traps, 5 live catch traps and a dozen bait stations scattered around my property (and two dogs that love to kill rats).
Just got the estimate from the dealership, $3,800.
Glad I have a low comp deductible.
Crappy part is I have to wait a friggin week for the insurance adjuster to get out there and look at it. Dealership has the parts in stock and could get the truck back to me by tuesday-wednesday. But it gets to sit a week so some guy can come, stick his head in the engine bay and go "yup, that is all chewed up". And then they will tell me how much they are willing to pay out (some number they are unable to give me over the phone).
If this doesn't shake out the way I want it to (insurance not willing to cover most of the cost), I will shoot you a PM and see if you are down to give repairing this a shot. I just need somebody a little more experienced with this platform then I am to get me to where the wires are. I work in the electronics industry and am very comfortable with a soldering iron. Have already fixed the harness on this thing twice (not these specific wires).
I also have a roll of the Honda pepper tape, I did the upper part of the harness with it last time I had to repair some wiring.

I had a four tube carb tuner I bought for a CB750, tune four, then move it to the other two. That CBX had such an awesome roar when it fired up. I had a slow leak on the rear tire one time but was close to the Honda dealer, went in to see if they could do a quick repair. When the mechanic fired it up to take it into the bay every single mechanic in that shop snapped their head around to see wtf was coming into the shop.

Just not many CBX's around, they all stopped what they were doing and gathered around it. When I sold it I found that most US spec 1979's were being bought by brokers and being shipped back to Japan for collectors. '79 CBX's US specs are coveted because Honda de-tuned the engine in 1980 and made it more of a touring bike, something about Europe sales limiting the HP to 90hp.

I saw a Kawasaki straight six in Utah one time, KZ1300, fairing, touring bike. The CBX and the Kawasaki KZ1300 are the only straight six bikes I know of.

I'm a big fan of I6's, very smooth engine. I've had Mercedes I6's, and a Lexus GS300 I6. That Lexus straight six was a gamer, same with the Mercedes sedans. One of the best sedans I've owned was a '65 Mercedes 220S, 2.2l I6 with dual 2bbl carbs, 4-spd on the column. Wasn't fast off the line but it would do 110mph all day long and smooth, independent rear axle. Old style giant grille on it.

Anybody know someone in San Diego or inland empire that’s good with wiring? I’m in north county SD and trying to get some help rewiring my truck using a blue sea fuse box or something like that and get rid of the add a circuits the truck came with.

Its just very difficult to get to, there are 2 water pipes that completely block access, even if you loosen them they dont move enough, its no fun. Even when you can see the wires you cant touch them, its quite frustrating. Let me know if it comes to that.
