Blacked Out Dash Chrome

I have the complete center dash panel for sale in the 3rd gen for sale section -- This assembly comes with the air vents/diffusers, the trim ring and the base piece that holds it all see it here:

These parts would be useful to anyone wanting to change the look of their dash.
This whole assy. comes apart easily to make it much easier to modify. The trim part (outer) is held on with 10 small screws, and the air vents have 2 or 3 click/snaps that hold them in. Just take your time and you will not break anything. Its best to take the whole assy. to a table/workbench and pad it underneath and work away.

That sounds good. Let me pull the console this evening and confirm that it can be removed and reinstalled.

 

Driving to work today (first time out since installing these) I really noticed how good it looks without the chrome rings blacked out! I'll add the vinyl for the start button ring to the set and list these by the weekend. As stated earlier the set will include 6 rings, 2 center console trims, and the start button ring.

 

Hell yeah I would buy these. Hate that damn chrome around the cup holders - always blasting sun into my eyes. I need it for the MT though, like others have said...

 

The 4x4 selection knob has chrome too, any possibility on adding that in too?

 

I have a 2wd Limited, so like the MT, it will be a challenge unless I can get access to a knob.

 

The MT trim piece pops right off. No tools needed. Honestly, I struggled getting the console piece off the shift lever and back on more than anything else.

It looks to be the same size. You can throw in a extra on mine and I can test fit it.

 

Yes, the outside diameter looks the same. Could you send me the inside diameter of the chrome part (preferably in mm)? I am concerned about the shape though. It might be challenging to get the vinyl to lay flat.

These are needed. The more chrome I can delete the better

 

What is this brown leather stuff you have on the dash?

 

It's the hickory "leather" on the Limited.

 

I'm interested. Might need steady hands to put these one I'd imagine.
