Of all the skateparks in Arizona, I'd call it a 5-6 on a scale of 1-10.

It's overly spacious. That's the reason why I cramped up (other than being a fat piece of shit, but let's not go there). You have to push a shitton to get around the park in the section that I was skating in.

There are two other actual bowls there but they were built way back in like '99 by Site Design before they really had a legit skater/designer crew. The "medium" bowl has too much flat and the "deep" is only like 8" deeper than the rest, with a fucked up waterfall that isn't smooth at all.

The other bigger bowl with close to 9-10" of vert would be pretty awesome to skate if they hadn't thrown a volcano at the end with a "twinkie of death" coming off the bottom that extends into the flat of the ver section.

Don't get me wrong, I've skated Chandler with absolute RIPPERS that shred the whole fucking place but they do so despite the design flaws.
I like a good janky park but it's always kind of a bummer when you see how with more foresight into the flow of a park design there can be way more potential for everyone to skate at their highest level and not contend with features that make it harder to rip than it should be.

Check out the photos of the Goodyear AZ park. Holy. SHIT. Such an awesome park! Too bad it's an hour one-way drive for me. Need to get back out and skate the 13' peanut bowl again though for sure.

Anybody think they'd be interested in either variation if it was a patch and/or sticker...?

(I'd make it a velcro backed patch)

His other work is pretty cool, too. Looks like he actually does a lot of illustration for publications/articles. But his GNARLBRO cig pack design is my favorite. I think I may have to get and frame a couple of his pieces.

That's a really cool story. I have a nice scar on my left knee that I got skating the old Venice Beach quarter pipe
that was connected to that wall. Drug my knee from a backside air and old rusty nail gashed me good. I just remember
some well known squad of Venice skaters showed up that day. SK8 or Die!!!

    My board from the '80s.
Sold it on Ebay maybe 2 yrs. ago.
Got about what it was new as it was not cheap back then.
It's kind of funny, I didn't know who/what Gibson/Zorlac was when I bought it and thought it was kind of peculiar looking but was flush with cash, working on the road and passing through Houston when I stopped at a skate shop and asked for "The Best".
We really weren't riding much ramps back then (a couple sprang up here and there) but had some nice cement.

Funny, I have skated my whole life(ankles are shot). Didn’t read whole thread, but I skated Steve Rocco boards all the time....I believe he came over to street from freestyle. He always had a poo bear type character on his board and I believe was part owner of SMA. Wow ....even I have to re- read that...lol

Does anyone remember when grindking just sold kingpins? I had a set of indies that had a set, and I was always too broke to buy trucks, they were ground down the the center axel...till I bent them off a launch ramp. Don’t even get me started on downhilling.

I had them both on VHS but had to replace them as DVD’s simply because they were worn out.
