No, I don't plan on that to start. So probably ok with stock skid plate as well. I am looking into ADS more. I am going to call Headstrong and ask a few friends as well who know more about it than I do. I plan on keeping the truck for a long time, so I figure I may as well do it right the first time. Are there a lot of washboard type roads out there? Are the fire roads very rocky?

I gotta work on the rear speakers after a few more paychecks, since they’re still the factory ones lol. Fucking cardboard speakers.

It’s amazing, how with a garage and all my ski gear paid for, and affordable rent, I’m planning truck mods and tool purchases 3 paychecks out. Then about by the time the truck is all done for the winter mode, it’ll be time throw money at the sailboat, get parts ordered and work on that project

Honestly I see why you want it. I agree with Ben that 5k would get both our current trucks pretty well set up, but I get it. Single v6 would be fun, hell i would swap the LT from Frank onto that just for a fun little go fast LT rig.

Should be chill. I don't have a lot of bills each month. No car payments and house payment. So not worried. Already bought 90% of the parts for Igor's rebuild.

No not really. They are nice to have just to be safe and for a recovery point/jack point. But for the most part you will not need them in the Big Horns. Only a few spots there that you'd want them and easily avoidable. Id put them on the list, but no need to get them immediately.

The roads can be very rough. Not like boulder rough, only a few like that, but still very rough to drive on. Nice suspension will be a very worth investment on the roads here. High traffic roads like Red Grade and even part of the Paint Rock lake road and others are groomed regularly. But plenty are not and are very bumpy and/or rough.

ADS would be an excellent choice.

 

Awesome! Im throwing truck money down like crazy. I keep going in cirlces on what to do with Frank and if i should just get the Solo kit...or just the spindles..or just a new oem spindle from somewhere.

ya its probably dumb, but im trying to get my truck in shape to tow the boat a fair bit this summer. Not any where past jackson lake, which is a short and slower drive with little elevation change, but getting the engine maintenanced up, better air flow, trans cooler and gauge, a fresh set of chev 63 springs, stiffer shocks, better bumps, better brakes for the truck and trailer...should make it more manageable.

 

Get some shorter shocks for the love haha

setting the gears on the 8.4 sucks though, at least compared to the elocker. Does Konsta have all the different washer plates? If you don't have those, you have to order them from toyota plus know what sizes you think you'll need and that can take a while.

any particular reason you want to change to an arb? Strength?

 

uuhh he probably has a million sitting around. What, an ARB over the god damn e locker? reliability and strength are enough reasons for me
