TRD Pro Grille for $140?

I ordered mine from yan linm too. Tired of waiting and just ordered one from Amazon.

You need to buy the part of the 18 pro grill. There's a thread on it. Once installed the radar will work normal.

 

Just FYI, lately the 3rd party grilles have been shown to include this part. When I first saw it I was wondering what it was for. If my grille ever gets here, and the piece is supplied as shown in the pictures online, I don't believe I will have a use for it. I'm willing to offer it up to anyone who wants it - as long as removing it doesn't leave a big, gaping hole in my grille.

 

I will look at them but geez this has been like a bad dream that ends the same way.

 

You need to post a picture of that part? If you have it I have the replaceable part for the 16 and 17 and would send you mine and buy yours.

 

Yep. From what it can tell it looks just like that. Although it is hard to tell from these pics.


And now after looking at the pic you sent it appears it will leave a gaping hole in my grille. I guess when it gets here I will see.

OK. My mistake. I thought the piece I showed was what was needed. I guess that is what gets replaced by the radar shield then?
My current Pro grille does not have either of those pieces.

That is the 16/17 part that that is removed and then the 18 part is added. The 18 part has a clear piece of plastic in the front that allow the radar to pass through.

 

It's not clear. Just looks clear because it's shiny

I opened up a case with eBay and yan-linm responded quickly to them. UPDATE: They gave me updated tracking info showing my grille is in NY and delayed because of weather issues. For whatever reason eBay has tagged them as potentially fraudulent and would not let me contact them. As long as I get the grille I’m happy but I’m thinking Amazon Prime for future orders.

 

I ordered from him too. Grille arrived within the ETA window. Tracking wasn't updated since customs, until it they attempted to deliver it. I had to go to the Post office to pick it up. It was in perfect condition. Weather wasn't an issue, but then again I'm in southern CA and it's still summer here.

 

Ordered from areyoushop back on 1/3 and tracking hasn't updated since 1/7 while the grille was still in China. Sounds like this seller is legit but this is the last day in the shipping window and I still have not received any updates

Edit: Funny how that works.. just got an update that it is in the US and will be delivered by Friday. Looking forward to seeing whether this was worth it

All garnish part for trd pro grilles are back ordered and its for all across US, they will have the part on order also from manufacturer...i just got off the phone crom dealer

 

Was supposed to arrive on the 10th of Jan and did arrive on the 10th. Seller was Yan-linm

got my refund from recamera, ended up ordering the areyourshop from Amazon on the 13th, already shipped hoping for the best. His tracking does show priority shipping on USPS so thats a good sign.
