Good point. My outings are usually only one or two nights in the same location, so that shouldn't be a negative for me.
    Thanks

One other related negative - even if you aren't moving camp but are just going out to explore for the day you have to take a bed tent down. If it is on the ground you just leave your camp behind while you explore for the day.

The best solution really depends on how you camp! I went with the Flip-Pac solution because usually I do move camp every day and so both the Flip-Pac and the rest of the build is designed around really rapid camp setup and tear down. But the occasional times I am in one place for a few days it becomes a bit of a negative if I want to explore for the day. RTTs and bed tents have a similar issue.

Trailers are sort of the best of both worlds because you can leave the trailer behind if you have a base camp you explore from. But then of course you are towing a trailer which can slow progress or limit access on some routes (unless of course said route is done as a day trip with the trailer back in camp).

Horses and courses and all that.

New to this thread, but might I ask if you have any other threads or information on that kitchen setup you've got up there? Thanks!

No thread on just the kitchen. It's a one-off I built from scratch a long time ago.

In NV....:anonymous: I grew up around this area and the population growth along with the filth that some of these places have been garnished wth lately has me kind of biting my tongue if you know what I mean.

PM me and if you will leave it cleaner than you found it Id be happy to let you know exact location.

A general area, not enough to give away, is good enough to most of us.
