For personal property taxes, I got my bill for the subie this weekend. Bought it in mid October, so about 2.5 months was $185. So I am guessing between 800-900 per year for Fairfax county taxes on the car

yea I know! thanks man! I really appreciate it! it's just hard with my new position to get time to drive 4 hours each way on a weekend to pick up a topper... work has me swamped

they are both Future Beach Fusion 124... and yea we are super close to where the Potomac turns into the Shenandoah.... so either / both haha... my house is a 4 minute drive to the boat launch haha

 

I paid about $1000 for the Tacoma and WRX to Westmoreland county and the city of Colonial Beach. It was about $500 to each with the city getting a little more than the county.

 

that's not too bad considering you have about 50k worth of vehicles (~30k WRX and a ~20k Tacoma)

 

Just some FYI

The General Assembly passed a plan in 1998 that was supposed to phase in a complete elimination of the car tax over five years. But we know what happened here greedy fuckers! There is a new proposal to raise the vehicle tax again to cover medicaid expansion in 2019 and beyond...

 

While taxes suck, the gov't has to pay their bills somehow. Would you prefer an income tax increase?
