Jumbo, did you have skids and sliders before you added the bumper? If so what coils were you running?

Nice, I miss the winters in FL for sure. Used to live between Ft Lickerdale and WPB, Boynton Beach'ish. Could not bear the summers though. So we moved to CLT.

Yes, I had at least the IFS skid and sliders back then. started on 885's. then needed more lift, due to bumpah and more skids. bought 887's, never put em on though. Traded in for 886's. (current) my lift is everything you should not do. 5100's, 886's, 3/8" spacer both sides, 1/4" lean spacer driver side. :anonymous: in the rear i am on allpro expo pack, it was used when I got it, and has sagged a touch. added 1.5" blocks on top a few weeks ago. :anonymous::anonymous:

CLT is Charlotte. we love it here. we are from upstate / western NY originally, moved to FL after college, stayed 7 years, then to CLT in 2005. great climate, has seasons, and the beach and the mountains are 2-3 hours either way.

Do you not recommend putting the 886s on 5100s? Swapping. 885 for 886 on my 5100s was going to be my next move, haha.

many people recommend against it. I have not had issues. been on 886's for a good many miles and wheel it pretty hard too. the lift on a lift was what I was referring to, lift coils, plus spacers on top

I had a buddy running the 886's with billys with a after market bumper and he didn't like the set up you may want to go with 886 and OME Nitros for added weight in the front just my .02 cents

There is definitely a better ride to be had, the 886's are stiff. but for me I am not OK with spending huge coin on Fox, Icon, King etc. This setup works good for me. gonna clear 100,000 miles today or tomorrow, just short of 3 years since I got the truck new.

I expect 886 to be stiffer than current. My IFS/Mid skid sag the 885s more than I want and I’m going to assume sliders and transfer case skid won’t help.
