Glad to hear you made it out. But you must have really been stuck if it took an F450 pulling a boom truck that was winching you out to get you free. We need pics. Hopefully you didn't head out there alone.

I did. Only because I wasn’t looking for trouble. A simple trail ride down a path I’ve done 20 time with my kid, just went south real quick

No Hole photos. By the time I was out it was so too dark to take a good picture. It looked like someone took a tractor and dug 5 foot down. It did not look like that when I went it just showed it’s ugly head once it was too late.

I got out last night at about 0115. Called a wrecker and his f450 couldn’t get me out. Broke his winch too. This was after a guy with a lifted 4Runner and lockers tried. Then the wrecker called his dad. He had a boom truck with a hydraulic winch. Originally it got him stuck and was pullling him in. So the 450 has to chain to him and it stared pulling them both! Finally the 450 reversed while hooked to the boom who winched me out. Cost 300 bucks. I lost my bumper. Need a new serpentine belt and somehow blew a turn signal. Otherwise It all seems good to go.

Not sure what happened to this post but it somehow ended up on the original. I got aliens. I dunno

$300 sounds like a hell of a deal for that recovery.

A good man once told me, he said that you dont get stuck as often with a 4x4 but when you do, you are usually pretty far off the beaten path so help is harder to get.

Glad you made it out OP... ;)
