that is one picture I didn't get, I was running out of light and getting tired. I used ********* single subwoofer enclosure... you have to take off the rear plastic panel and the plastic panel on the rear upright section of the seat. otherwise, it slides right in behind the seat and sits in the opening without any modifications. I will try to take one this afternoon and post it

I was afraid of that. I fold my seat down often for interior cargo, so that may not work for me. I know JL just made a stealthbox for the 3rd gen but that thing is crazy expensive. Let us know if it would possibly fit with the plastic seat back still on. Nice work

Thanks! I don't have too much hauling of interior cargo other than the dog. its his territory anyway. I did my research and the price was the major drawback for me. the stealthbox fits in perfectly without any sort of major mod. but the ********* box ran me around 170$ a fraction of what the stealthbox is. additionally I got the box, amp, sub and wiring for the price of it.

Now, I will say, me and a buddy even looked at it, its likely possible to keep the back cover on the seat, but it would just be a tight squeeze. that scared me a bit but I believe its doable, I just questioned how many times can I do it before anything happens to the subwoofer itself. I have seat covers on so if I need to lay anything down at some point, the rear seat will still be protected. so I was "okay" with the decision to remove the paneling on the rear of the seat

This is mostly a "what I have been too lazy to post" instead of "what I did today," but here we go!

This is my '17 Tacoma OR out with my dads '00 OR (with over 300,000 miles on it) playing in the sand over the holidays:IMG_2389.jpg

Soon after I Installed the OEM Roof Rack and MetalTech bolt-on sliders:
    IMG_2637.jpg

Another addition were the Total Chaos bed stiffeners, I have an At Habitat Truck Topper on its way and I wanted to prevent any fatigue in the sheet-metal in the years to come.
    IMG_2583.jpg

I also have been lurking here since I bought my Taco, and finding an abundance of ways to help me spend my money... so I did the kicker tweeter upgrade and am planning on doing the rest of the speakers and putting in some deadening too. My other car is a Jetta TDi with two 10" subs, which makes the Tacoma's seem that much more sub-par.
    IMG_2562.jpg

I wanted to do this as a catch up, to introduce myself, and to thank everyone here for the wealth of knowledge I have to sift through lol
    Cheers!

    Wow, you have been busy!
Source for tailgate lock as well as interior lighting and back up lights with part numbers for the lighting.
Worst back-up lights I've ever had on a vehicle. Can't see chit with 'em.
    Thanks.

Had the weekend to myself although all that stuff didn't really take too much time - most of it was a few minutes work - if that. The BakFlip was extremely easy to install!

The tailgate lock is from Sebellco (https://sabellco.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=33_60&product_id=68).

I hated the poor stock back up lighting as well and found these babies -> Extremely bright!!! (https://www.amazon.com/LUYED-Extrem...6125143&sr=1-5&keywords=reverse+led+luyed+921) and they fit perfect.

    Interior map lights (https://www.amazon.com/Yorkim-Gener...qid=1516125299&sr=1-5&keywords=yorkim+t10+led).

And ordered the visor lights from eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/4PCS-HID-W...ash=item4b14f6f401:g:ENsAAOSw03lY5Kl-&vxp=mtr) Still waiting on these to arrive.

The dome light I also got from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/MicTuning-MI...d=1516126169&sr=1-1&keywords=mictuning+fs3112).

Do these tweaters really make a difference for the price? Is this really worth the investment? I'm looking to buy some but I want to make sure the difference is obvious.

Hey, were you able to snap those right on or did you have to remove the outer housing to install them?

    Thanks

I got mine for $79 off Ebay, and just looking at the construction they look a lot higher of quality than the factory; that being said I have noticed a bit more clarity and the overall sound quality seems better. I am sure the real difference would be made with the rest of the speakers being upgraded, since tweeters play more of a support role.
