What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Aw okay.

 

The breather isn't a filter really so much as it is a one way valve. I opted to avoid ever having vacuum or pressure in my axle and just use the filter and intake location to stop anything but air from going in.

 

To be on the safe side, I rather have all new keys

 

I ran mine up behind my driver side tail light.

 

Hmm...is there such thing as a front breather mod? Would it be worth it?

 

NVM found the post - thought I was losing my $hit...

 

I have both front and rear and the breathers are located near the brake booster.

 

I believe the breather for the front is already up in the engine bay for (ADD at least). Maybe the only one that wouldn't be up there would be the transfer case.

 

Already has one, it is located on your fender in a little holder. That's why I thought it was weird the rear didn't.

 

Gotcha, never actually looked at it before.

 

Highly recommend hamtestonline.com. You are able to take sample tests that use actual questions from the exam. I spent a few evenings studying these, and flew through the test. And I am not an electronic wizard, but more of a dunce!

I just figured it's about $5 chance rather than whatever the locksmith charges

 

Now I want to cut one open. I always thought there was a check valve, a bit of foam, and of course the cover, which keeps most stuff out. Now I wonder if it's just the cover and check valve...

Looked for my OEM one, must have tossed it.

 

I would've thought so too but since PO only gave me one key and I made another from it that 2nd one probably not worth making a copy of. Rather not have the original key floating around in someone else's house. Gotta be safe these days.

 

I've probably got one laying around, I'll try and find it and pop the top off

You guys have to see this truck for sale on Autotrader. EVERY SINGLE square inch of the engine bay is covered in labels. Cool switch panel in the headliner too. $18k

I wonder how long it took to do that... and the headliner looked pretty intense too. Seats looked nice tho haha
