I’ll give them a holler. Was able to track down the guy who did it all new in May of 2014 but definitely seemed kinda shady... only check PH and Iron level (which I had already done) to which he replied wow your iron levels are off we need to replace the whole system....
So do you know what may need to be serviced ? All this is new to me and not much info online that I can find and I’ve searched solidly for the last two days for hours and hours. Trying to get someone out here for a second opinion but no one likes to touch another persons work or products they don’t sell. Royal PITA!

The neutralizer tank and the iron removal tank should be serviceable. You need to make sure they are there should be a screw off cap on the top of the tank. If so turn your water off or switch to bypass. remove the cap and stick something down in the tank and see how much material is in it. probably none. Get a piece of hose and siphon the water out then fill the tanks to the point where you can touch it. Screw the cap back on and when your done with them run them through their cycle manually.
See if you can find a brand on the system and they can tell you what is the proper material for each tank. Also see if there is a manual for it laying around. If you can find a manufacturer and model you can probably find a Youtube video on how to service. Or find an authorized dealer for that system with good reviews and get them to check it out. They make all these systems just a little different. Hope this helps a little

That was kinda what I was leaning towards tryin as there are caps on the two of them just have to trace a mess of plumbing between the 4 different tanks that are there to find the bypass valves for each. In sharpie written on the tanks it says Terminox but there’s only one place that sales them on the whole internet lol which is called budget water and their outta state sent them an email I’ll see if I get a response from them. Something I read somewhere said that iron/maganese filters need to be serviced every 4-6 years which I’m at the lower end on that but kinda find anything on “servicing” and what exactly that entails I’m guessin something to do with the resin or something in them but could be way off...
thanks for the info though I really do appreciate yalls help on here! I’ll see if I can give it a shot without being electrocuted Or flooding the basement tomorrow evening

Hey all, I'm TAD/TDY to Portsmouth naval hospital til April. Anyone here a fisherman? I want to fish the coast but there's no fishing headboats running and I'm not sure about where are good spots to fish from shore.

Look at the top of the tanks and find where the water lines enter and exit and the bypass should be right there. The tanks aren't usually under prssure but very full of water. Have some towels handy just in case

Major blizzard on the way. A menacing 1" to 2" of that white stuff that paralyzes Hampton Roads as soon as the first flake lands is predicted to fall and accumulate this time around.

Hopefully it will be enough to play in. :burnrubber:

what do you mean "as soon as the first flake lands" they are already closing down the schools and bunkering down for a blizzard that will not start until around noon. The last storm was good, this one will be lame.

So I now know what northerners feel like when we freak out over a few inches. I'm in Gulfport MS for business and everything was pretty much canceled, base closed, etc... Yesterday the schools closed 2 hours early because temperature dropped to 33*...

Last night we had a "snow storm" and I woke up to find out the Navy base closed. I took this picture around 1000 this morning:

Yeah, I saw that. Everything already closing because of the 1 to 2 inches that we might get. :der:

Aw hell, we might have a hurricane hit in august. We had all better go out right now and stock up on water, batteries, and go ahead and board up all of our windows.

There is barley enough snow to cover the ground and I saw 4 accidents on my way to get dinner, it’s a 10 min drive round trip. I don’t understand it.
