this. The court will throw it out if they don't have a light meter recording or pictures. The burden of proof is on them.

I'm an Officer in Alabama and I very seldom write tint-tickets , our state law says 32% is the lowest on the front side windows.I understand that it helps with the heat and I've even heard that you could get a letter from a doctor concerning skin problems with the sun , but I've never seen one. On the other hand , it does give us probable cause to pull you over (good reason to check for license, insurance , and dui ,dope etc.) If the tint is around 2% - 10% yeah I'm writing , but you can bring the vehicle to court ( with 32%) and have an Officer look at it in the parking lot and have it dropped- per our judge. But it is a Big Officer safety issue , I hate walking up to a car that I have stopped and not know how many people are in there , or if this will be the last stop that I'll ever make! But like I said I don't bother anyone unless it's just standing out. We do have tint meters and I do stop someone when I see them roll the windows down , I have rode pass them on the 4-lane and have watched the windows go up and down 5-6 times , as I sped up and slowed down.Lol when the driver said he was hot then cold!

so say you pull me over for tint (5%) and i roll all my windows down before you even get out of your car. Are you likely gonna write me a ticket? not trying to be slick just conciderate to your concerns when rollin the windows down.

Not saying him personally, but most douchebag cops will. They were bullied in grade school and now have to "get back" at society.

I really can't remember but when I got my front windows tinted last year in AZ they were at 30% which is legal.Am I right or did the tint shop lie to me?

You see , thats what I'm saying , if I stopped you for 5% tint and you let all of your windows down, acourse I'm gonna notice it and ask you to let one up about half way , so I could see it. But with you doing that , I personally would check license , insurance, tag reistration , and tell you to be careful because some officers do have 0 tolerance. It's according to peoples attitudes if I give a verbal warning, written warning , or give a citation. But thats just me

The newest thing in tennessee is that officers can pull out a blade and slash your tint if its too dark. total BS if you pay for a good tint job

Thanks for helping Arnie balance our bloated budget. Good thing you had a front license plate or you'd be double pissed.

it looks light because your rear is prolly 5% so it makes the front look lighter than it really is,

i would say it is dark

Max allowable tint in the state of Texas 20% VLT. Sad how the dealer applied tint was just below 20% and I could not get my truck inspected. I showed them who said my windows had to be 20%. Tint currently at 17% and truck inspected by a member of the family.
