Got a friend I usually stay with when visiting Seattle, her house falls within that small map. Take our kids to that park all the time.

 

This is what happens when you forget we live in the 21st century.

 

I stopped having my geography class use google street view independently anymore because they don’t filter that stuff very well, and the kids seem to zero in on even the smallest details. Anyways, thanks...

 

Ayup, my students would have had a hoot with that one too!

 

I can’t find it now, but some of my pesky 5th graders found a pair of bare legs, and a third single one, kind of close together behind a truck - that was the last time they used street view independently. Luckily, no parent complaints yet!

I got a pic with the bing maps guy a couple of summers ago. Doing a little advertising for Miller Lite

 

I did this exact same thing with the Bing car a while back, but they actually edited that stretch of road out. I watched their maps site like a hawk while I waited for them to update it, but when they did I wasn't in it!

 

I saw the AAA (actually Automoblie Club of Southern California) map guy in Baja a few months ago. He actually drives around in a 4wd F150 doing field work. Sounds like a fun job ... he had stopped at Coco’s Corner when we saw him.

 

I'd like to work for google maps. Put a camera on my roof and let me photo log back dirt roads.

 

I imagine they would get a pretty good turnout of TW people to do it

 

We had a google crew come on a multi day river trip a few summers ago and now you can "street view" that stretch of river.

I think they also take proposals for backcountry areas to document and loan out the equipment if you convince them the area is worthy.

 

Whoa....you know what's real craazy??? There's 2 other Tacomas at the same intersection! I just panned around a bit

 

Should rename one of those streets after Tacomas.
