Could simply be condensation. I’ve seen that happen when the temperature drops below the dew point in a cold, humid room.

Just took a whiz - someone is in a stall. I finish and I'm washing up like I'm prepping for surgery. Dude comes out of stall and literally turns on water for .5 seconds and splashes hands with that tiny amount of water (no soap), dries of what water actually got on his hands - walks out.

Fake washing hands is worse than not even bothering....

Can't remember if I shared this one or not. I once knew this girl that was in the same club in high school as me. One day we both went into the bathroom at the same time and came out about the same time to wash our hands. We're making small talk and I look over and notice she turns the water on, sticks her hands down in the sink, rubs them together, BUT NEVER STICKS THEM IN THE WATER. Shakes them off and even grabs a paper towel.

She full out acted like she washed her hands but never touched the water.

I stayed about 50ft from her at all times after that.

I was talking with a co-worker the other day near the bathroom area when another co-worker walked into the ladies room. She walked out about 5 seconds later laughing and saying there was piss all over the toilet seat. She then made for the stairs to find a clean bathroom.

    We have had:
"phantom pissers" - those who piss and leave without flushing (both for ladies and mens rooms)

"phantom shitters" - same as above except finding out who #2 worked for (ladies and mens rooms)

"the puddler" - the guy that never aims and makes puddles in front of the urinal

And of course the non-hand washers. People are nasty.

I never take from community snack tables unless they are individual wrapped, or i am the first one to get there when opened. Too many "what ifs" around there.

Man, this thread actually makes me feel good about my workplace. I work nights in a hospital pharmacy. We have a mens and a womens restroom in the department. At night I'm the only one there, so I always drop a deuce in the womens. It's just nicer than the mens. In nine years I have never seen a mess in either restroom though.

I was in the bathroom washing my hands the other day and I watched my boss (who’d just got done doing work in one of the stalls) walk out of the bathroom and get a drink out of the drinking fountain, walk back in and blow his nose and then wash his hands..o_O

There's been something eating at me lately. Why do all doors to bathroom stalls swing in? It seems like it is much more logical for them to swing out. The doors swinging in makes it nearly impossible to get out of the stall. I am always worried that my pants are going to brush against the side of the toilet. If the doors swing out, it will be easier to get in and out and also easier to identify a stall that isn't in use. Also having a door that swings out would make exiting the stall so much more fun. Currently, after I get paid to poop, I have to carefully avoid brushing my pants against the toilet. If we lived in a world where stall doors swing out, I could push that door out, shout "Whoooeeehh!!! Just got paid to poop!!!!!" and exit the bathroom all dramatic and shit.

It's so you don't hit someone when you open the door.

Probably in case of an "emergency"... a puker or someone who really has to go. It is one less motion to get into the stall.

What if, instead of a door that swings in or out, there was a garage door that runs up and down on the hit of a button in the stall? I think that would be the ideal public bathroom.

Too expensive. It could be like boot camp and just not have any doors at all.

What if they were garage doors but laying on their sides? Like a sturdy curtain? Manually operated of course.

Overseas (Europe and Asia) stalls are often little rooms with full legitimate doors so you can poop (or squat) in peace. Many countries it is considered polite to remove one's pants before pooping to render clean-up easier and more genteel.

We Americans are way too brutal to our butts.
