I don't know why you'd want to work in Huntington which is a certified shithole, but you do, so I didn't want to make any assumptions

It won't do anything in Windows, besides probably crash whatever run/dos/run is.

In linux, however, what you're looking at is a NOP Slide into shellcode that would open a reverse TCP shell.

In english- I run over all of your program's instructions, fill the stack with 'NOPs'- no ops- dead code, then find a way to get the code flow onto the 'slide', which falls to my shellcode that makes your computer connect to my waiting listener, then I have root access to your system.

I have that code on hand because I did a CTF problem today with a coworker at lunch where finding the flag required you to exploit a program using that technique.

Speaking of mods and such? What jacks and jack stands does everyone use? Anyone have a pro eagle? They look great, but find it hard to justify the cost. I was doing some work on suspension last weekend and was not prepared for the job with the jack on hand.

Any other critical maintenance items that you like or use regularly? Favorite tools?

Any thoughts on a hitch vise?

My thought has been try to keep critical tools to work on the truck, in the truck. If I need to do a critical repair, have the tools available to do so. What does everyone else do?

I've got one of those 'automotive tool kits' which is basically a fancy named giant socket set that lives in the truck, and my farm jack on the rack all the time. I need to get a better jack because if I had to change a tire before I get my sliders on I'd be fucked- the bottle jack won't even reach my frame since I put the 33's on. I also want to add a cordless impact wrench to the collection but those are $$$$$

Yeah, we got to the point last weekend where we were talking about cribbing to jack and support the truck if we couldn't find a taller jack and stands. LOL

I'd love one of those dewalt cordless 1/2' impacts. Very nice. I stick to hand tools and breaker bars for the most part, bring a drill just in case. Which reminds me, I need to add a section of pipe for the truck to act as a cheater in a pinch.
