totally agree... kids now a days are different, I pick my son up at the school, he's 5th grade and he's one of the few kids that doesn't have cell phone. hes been asking for a cellphone I said no. but at the same time I feel bad.

 

eating tidepods or detergent or lighter fluids bath is one of them?

 

Also like 13-14 year old girls wearing enough make up to look like a 25 year old hooker.... smh. No kid under the age of 18 should see the internet. They get lime wire, thats it. hahahaha

 

tidepods didn't exist in the 70's, but if they did....

 

limewire was patient zero for the spread of computer viruses..that's just evil

 

DON'T feel bad. My youngest is in 6th grade and has been asking for one since 2nd grade.

Last year, one of her classmates who's parents thought it a great idea to give her a phone and allow her access to IG or some shit like that, decided she was going to make a poll and about if you had 1 bullet, who would you use it for...and proceeded to add my kids name to it along with 2 other kids. My kid "won" according to the other little fuckers that voted with their cellphones. Kids parents refused to meet with us but did take the phone privileges away from the kid....for like a month.

God damn!

tidepods should be not be use at all. babies toddler sometimes see them and eat them end up being at the hospital. those stupid things looks like a candy.

I think the internet isn't the problem. The kids should still be held responsible for being smarter than that. One of the things when I was younger was to soak your hand in axe and light it on fire. I watched my friends do it but I never once did it myself because it was stupid! Another problem is bad parenting. Granted its not every parents fault but it does contribute. We were doing all this at my friend's house while the parents were home and they never bothered to ask why the room smelled like burned skin and hair

I wish I had. , but didn't want to make my daughter feel ostracized at school anymore than she already felt like by bring her unwanted attention from other fkn kids.

 

That was just what was popular at the time. A year later it was old spice lol

 

My brother is a principal at a junior high according to him the #1 problem is social media by far. None of the kids are emotionally capable of handling what can be done on it. Problem #2 is parents....its amazing how many don't give a fuck...granted he is at a 100% title 1 school but even when he was an assistant principal at Foothill HS the rich parents were just as bad but had money/lawyers to bail their kids out of problems.
Tidepods are not the problem...its responsible parenting...they should be in a place where kids can not get to them and you should be 100% be aware of what your toddlers are doing. If you are not capable of that don't have kids or be prepared to suffer the consequences of child neglect/endangerment charges.

 

I definitely reported it. Involved the principle as well as the elementary school assigned police officer (guess they all have one LEO that talks to the kids of every school about drugs, crime etc..). They determined it wasn't a viable threat but that the kid should be disciplined by the parents and suspended.

What I should have done is taken legal action in court. Oh well.

Your boy is old enough to know better than to eat a tide pod. Its the toddler stage where everything goes in their mouth where you gotta be on them 100% and have all the cabinets with safety latches and such. After that stage let them the fuck outta the house and be kids.
