Camaro was quite the opposite, I washed that thing like every other day! I loved that blue, had a ton of flake in it too. Still miss that car, but responsibilities take away all the fun...

That one was kinda pieced together... Started as an extremely clean 79 that had the front end replaced with a 70 front end. Also had the motor swapped for an LT1 and a built transmission. Clean as can be original white vinyl interior, AC worked great, drove like a brand new car. Daily'd it for a while till I had to get a truck.

Picking mine up on Monday, sight unseen. I started out hating on the color from the early pics I saw. Mostly crappy dealer cell phone pics taken with zero regard to sun glare, shadows, etc..

Fast forward to my red pro being decimated by a semi. Faced with no reasonable 2017s around that weren’t overly equipped and marked up, I had to decide on a 2018.

I work for a utility company, I see white trucks all day long. Black or blue? Love black, hate how fussy it is. Plus, all the awesome black trim gets lost in all that black. Still a possibility at that point.

So I kept looking at cavalry blue pics on TW, and the interwebs. I began to see there are different moods, and tones to it.
I have seen many videos and pics, of much better quality, and talked to owners. “Which shade of blue is closest? There are so many different pics that vary. The answer was “all of them.”
Intrigued by the multiple personalities of it, so now I’m all in. The one thing I’ve heard consistently, is that pictures don’t do it justice.
I like blue, and I am a baby boomer. But chrome doesn’t play well with this blue, cement, or quicksand, in my opinion.

Deathray, you nailed it with the different moods/tones comment. It does seem to have multiple personalities but in a cool way. I've only had it for just over 2 days but it really takes on different looks throughout the day and in different lighting.
Sorry about your red Pro, thankfully everyone was OK. I'm a big fan of red but I think you're gonna really like this Cavalry Blue!

Nah. I'm going with Subaru's sage color.

Also, your quote game is weak :D

Hey, I just want a "navy" blue or similar Taco - it would look sharp. Of course I have silver, which is great being I live on a dirt rd, but the terrible dealer pics looks good. I have not seen the smurf in action, so I guess I only have the wonderful internet my help form my opinion.

I loved the color online, in person it’s hit or miss depending on the lighting... that’s my opinion.

Yes indeed! I live a tad north of the city. If you know of any local meetups/trails/anything, I'm all ears. I was thinking about looking into some of the local jeep clubs just to see where they tend to go. This is my non-sports car so I'm interested to see what folks do for off-road usage around here

That brochure shot is not what it looks like in real life. Here's my Heritage Blue '14 FJ beside a Cavalry Blue 4Runner for comparison.
