Just wandering how many other people set out gardens this year. I've got some of my stuff planted, but still have a ways to go. I'm not setting out any early corn, but I'm definately putting in some late corn. So tell us what you have and share some pictures if you want!

What I have as of today:

    2 Big boy mater plants
    2 Better Boys
1 Red Beefsteak (fried green maters specialty!)
    3 cucumber plants
    1 cayenne plant
    1 jalepeno plant.

What else I will have set out if the ground will ever dry up:

    A shitload of KandyKorn
    A shitload of Peaches n'Cream
A decent amount of Field corn (fry it up in bacon grease....OOhhhhWeee!)
Maybe some silver queen(but I doubt it)
    A canteloupe vine or two.
    Possibly some Okra
...later on in the dawgdays of summer, greens. LOTS of greens!

I will try to get a picture of mine this week, and show my progression!

Theres nothing wrong with a small garden. Only gotta grow what you'll eat! Only reason I set out so much corn is people around here send each other stuff outta there garden a lot. I just like to have stuff to give back. Just the way this community operates I guess, but I love it :)

I'm spending this year turning the yard over. It's a mess. I'm building a composter too. Once that stuff is done and next planting rolls around...I think I wanna try my hand a some hot peppers (habenaros, jalepenos) some squashes, and berries.

We are growing a Topsy Turvy crop of strawberries.

    I have in the ground.

    2x Strawberry Plants
    3x Cherry Tomato Plants
    3x Golden Bell Pepper Plants
    1x Raspberry Bush
    1x Blackberry Bush

    Still in trays

    2x Early Girl Tomato Plants
    2x Early Yellow Squash
    2x Red Bell Pepper Plants
    3x Beefsteak Tomato Plants
    10x Havana #503B Tobacco Plants

Did beans and peas last year, plants did OK, but didn't produce enough veggies in the numbers I planted. Couldn't get onions to take off, so I didn't bother this year. Gonna try to grow, cure and roll my own cigars this year. Should be a fun little project.

I grow bamboo and weeds. The former because it behaves exactly like the latter. Anything else, I'll kill it.

I have a very small garden - as I'm the only person who eats anything out of it. :D A 4'x6' plot that's full of strawberries and fenced in (rabbits eat everythere around here). I have 4 plastic pots that I put tomato plants in - usually Brandywine and a potpourri of other types. But I love the Brandywine tomatoes.

This is my garden from last year.

    cukes
    zucchini
    watermelon
    cantaloupe
    several varieties of tomatoes
    green peppers
    hot banana peppers
    italian frying peppers
    broccoli
    basil

We change up the crops year after year. We plant cherry hot peppers, jalapeno's, tomatilla's, corn and whatever catches our attention when we go to the local green house for plants.

I have a water line buried from the house to the garden. All 6 of the boxes have a water valve plumbed to them. I have soaker hoses in each box, that way I am able to turn off the boxes as the different crops die off.
