Its pretty much all gone. There might be a little bit if you know where to look but it isn'5 much. There was talks of snow this weekend but who knows at this point. It'll probably be another tiny storm like last time. Great for pics tho

First off, I doubt anything can be considered off-topic in here.

Second, if you want to visit Big Bear when there is snow your best bet would be to try and visit during the week instead of weekend.

All the city-slickers make it hell driving up and down on snowy weekends. Allow yourself an extra 2 hours of travel time, especially if there is a chain checkpoint.

Yeah my buddy has a cabin in GVL so I'm down there a lot so definitely hmu next time :fistbump:
The problem is this year the slow is so slick you just have to take it when you can get it. If it snows on the weekend it'll be gone by the week and you'll be SOL. Luckily crowds aren't too bad this year. Its almost tolerable

You live there and at least have somewhere to go. Being stuck in traffic when it is backed up all the way to the dam is brutal. Happened to me twice last year.

true happened to me once, took me 5 hours to get back home. cars sliding and straight to the ditch coz no chain. But then only happen when winter storm. I don't think its going to happen anytime soon.

Oh no I went down the hill on Christmas so I know exactly how brutal it is. Last year was a strange year though. I doubt it'll be like that again any time soon

Sadly I can only go during the weekend. What's a good time to start heading out and avoid as much traffic as possible?
