No reason to rush. Lets finish 1.03 and I think you guys will be very happy. I want to post this ahead of time that for everyone waiting for 1.03 to release to buy the kits, expect delays once it is. the line is pretty long already.

So I am at the stage where I sent the answer and the dongle serial number. Can you close the guardian or the pcmflash windows or do I need to wait till the process is all done before closing anything or disconnecting it?

 

you can close everything, you only need pcmflash from this point, when I send over the pcmflash registration

It’s been doing that for several days now so I thought it was unusual.

 

People "on the fence" if you have an opportunity to purchase the tune do it night and day difference

 

Yep me too and exactly the way you describe. It was worse until I had a TSB for the shift flair but it is still noticeable when cold under certain conditions.

 

I ordered the tune after thanksgiving. After all the steps and waiting for the shipment, I uploaded the tune yesterday. I have about 70 miles on it so far and all I can say is wow. It is a noticeable difference from stock. The shifts are linear and the gears hold as they are supposed to (in my opinion). I saw an increase in mpg (I think because it's not constantly hunting for gears) even though I have oversized wheels and tires. Etc is ridiculous when on! I say if ur on the fence then go ahead and do it. It makes the truck much more enjoyable to drive. the process was not nearly as difficult as others made it seem. it just takes time and the ability to follow the instructions to a T. Just my 2cents.

 

Would you say it drives like a normal truck now? Im already sold just curiose on feedback

 

Okay, I've downloaded all links on the @OVTune website, ran Guaranty driver one & installed, plugged the dongle in, nothing. No icon pops up at all. I've tried an old laptop with Win7,new laptop with Win10, Defender turned off on both, tried all USB ports, still nothing. Any suggestions, I've tried everything I can find in this thread.

The instructions say an icon will be located on my desktop when I install. I've got nothing. I don't see the guardant setup.exe icon it says to run

 

When you AT guys saved the transmission file was it the same name as the engine with a (1) after it? Or did I do something wrong.

Thanks for the quick replies. I'm just starting, on page 4 of Mat's instructions. The Guardant drivers have been installed & the computer sees the dongle when I run the Guardant diagnostics. But I don't see anywhere to extract the download & run the SETUP.

 

If you extracted the files, guardant setup.exe will be located in what ever folder you extracted it in. You need to run setup.exe in that folder then you should get the icon on your desktop.

 

Not sure it will hurt but don't plug dongle in until after you run setup.
