What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Yeah I used velcro to attach it at first but the damn thing just kept falling off. I can't remember what kind of screws but they weren't anything special, just some spares I had laying around. Small screws so they don't go through the otherside.

 

You just screwed them directly into the plastic and they tightened down well enough to secure the Grid-it and all of your stuff. Sounds simple enough as long as it works.

 

Yep, just put 1 in each corner. I think they were only 1/4 inch long. Nothing heavy on the grid-it though and it's holding solid.

 

Just ordered mine....I hate slow snow days at work....2 days later I'm reminded of all the crap I ordered as it shows up at my door.

 

Ordered some more LED bulbs today. I've been hitting Amazon hard lately hahaha

 

Just screw some self tappers in there.

I am having the same issue with 3m double sided tape, may have to do this tonight!

 

It's worth it. That velcro or 3m tape seems like it should be strong enough but just doesn't seem to hold up.

 

Went out to the mountains to check out the snow. Got some nice ice sickles and pulled a guy out of the ditch.

 

I had a set of those VIP motoz and they fogged within a week. After I sealed them up. I wouldnt recommend them.

 

Exactly what I was thinking.

 

Was scared to do that because of the depth but I'm going to now. One day of heat and the damn thing flops all over the place. Ended up throwing it in the passenger floorboard last week because it was so frustrating. Anyone found a solution for the lid droop for the added weight?

 

What Viair did you go with? And do you have any details on the install. Im thinking about doing the same thing. How hard was mounting the tank behind the grill?

 

I just put lightweight stuff on mine so it doesn't fall back down as soon as it's opened.

 

Installed my Caliraised led fog light replacement pod brackets, put in some amber anytimers! Now for the final phase I’ll be looking for a 40” on the Prinsu cabrack
