I mounted 1/2” stainless thread rod in the bed to match the bolt pattern and locked it down with cap nuts.

Yesterday, I decided to change as many oils as I could seeing as how the diffs came with this truck which is still kinda new to me, rear diff went well (nasty color though), tcase went easy enough (sparkles as usual although less, eventually it's gonna up and die I'm sure), front diff I have never serviced and as such the drain refused to come out. I didn't want to fight the plug and weld some nonsense on there, so I opted to not waste my time fighting it and just top it off with fresh fluid (was pretty low) since I'm just going to have it regeared later on. Finally, did engine oil and filter which only takes like five mins anyway. So now my garage smells like sulfur and oil haha.

Guy wants $125 plus shipping for the dirtiest valve covers I have ever seen... He says he would clean them before he ships them but my luck is there would be a crack under all that grime... :annoyed:

Lotta thick grime on those, looks like my frame after mud haha. Probably fine though, I'd see if he has a pressure washer and is willing to use it on them, that'll clean it up in a jiffy.

At that price I'll probably just buy ones for $150 with free shipping online from a used parts dealer. I think it'd just be easier and safer. The motor looks like its been in a few mud pits and had oil spewed all over it.

All but the front diff are super easy and if the front diff plug isn't seized then that is cake too. Could do it all including the power steering (which I did recently) in about and hour and a half if you leave yourself time for beer haha.

Any suggestions on new bushings for OME springs? Or how exactly to get them out?? Thanks!
