I could but it outright today if I wanted to, but I don't feel like dipping into my savings. I'd rather invest the $800 in a CD or something and make some more money...

My worry is that if I wait, LEGO will retire the UCS Falcon, and it'll only be available from scalpers on Ama-zon and FleaBay...

I want one too and can afford it but it is a extravagance and it is a lot of money. Some days I come damn close to ordering it, other days I know there are other things that money could be needed for.
    The struggle wages on!

P.S. I am not worried about Lego retiring the set. Won’t happen anytime soon!

A UCS Falcon costs more than what I have in my entire stereo!

FUN FACT: My original stereo, a single-DIN head unit and component speaker (all Pioneer) cost $240 altogether back in March 2013. In October 2015, drunk driver hit my truck. I splurged on a double-DIN touch-screen head unit and backup camera with his restitution money...

I have $600-$700 in my stereo, and Sir Drinks-A-Lot paid for at least $400 of it!

Best thing a young guy can do with money! Gotta play a little to stay sane, but investments and savings should be up to date.

Yup. Could you imagine if you even just saved $20 a month from the time you were 15. Well. Depends on how old you are. But it would be a decent chunk. Especially if you threw it into the stock market at the end of every year. (Since $20 at a time isn’t a good idea with fees)

If the bottom half isn’t staying together then you’ve missed a few connections. Best bet is the back track the build. This will probably require disassembling part of the set, but I think that is a way better alternative than using Kragle.

Anyway, getting back on topic, the GT3 and Mack Anthem are gonna be my last really expensive LEGO sets for a while.

I need to save money, because my most valuable asset right now is my Tacoma...

Partly, but like yours, at 3% after inflation and pay taxes on your earnings if you don’t make at least 4% (the break even point) you’re losing money.

I also received a package today. I know the heavy walker and At-St are horrid but I didn’t pay full price. Plus I wanted the minifigs.
