Spent a few hours in the garage tonight working in the 4wheeler. My Can Am is a real 2 passengers, which means that it is like a Tacoma DCLB. The frame is extended. Outlanders are known to have a problem on the frame extension. 2 bolts are becoming loose with time, and if you don't notice it, damages can occur when transporting a passenger and stuff. 3 of my friends broke their bolts and rode with a slack frame lol they did abused "a little" to get there. My father noticed his was loose just in time and didn't had damages. On the last trip, my friends and I noticed mine was becoming loose too. So today I stripped the rear end. Took off the cargo box, rear bumper, rear fender rack, and rear plastic fenders to see what is going on.

I am lucky there is no damages to the frame, only the 2 loose bolts. I took them off, applied blue lock tite and put them back in with the impact and my small extension lol I didn't put the parts back on the 4wheeler yet since I may want to redo the wiring of the heated grips and reverse ligthts. I may use it on the 10th of February, so still a month to put it all back together. No rush haha

They are a must around here! I also have the heated grips for the passenger on the cargo box lol have to say it draws a lot of power tho! Last ride I had the light bar on, high beams, heated grips and my "dust light" on and the dash told me low battery lol
Dont get me wrong! I love them too!

For mornings like today (-22*C/-8*F), the engine block heater is an awesome upgrade! Truck fired up like in summer!

Do you have anything on the battery to keep it warm?

Nothing, and cranks like new! But I have to say I changed it last spring, but still, the last few weeks were cold af and no harm to the battery seem to have occured. Imo a warm engine is way better than a warm battery for a cold start.

This that and the other thing.
ive been pretty impressed with the taco this winter myself, I don't drive it every day and most the time it sits for a good 3-4 days in the cold and starts no problem. my work vans cant sit more then 2 days without needing a boost lol but they are fords so that explains that lol

Been a while since I updated my thread...

I am just back from a trip with @Bocsy44 , down to the US of A to grab parts we bought used from members and a few new parts from Mobtown and URD. We met @EatSleepTacos , @fatfurious2 , @Sasquatchtaco and @pmstoy10 down there. You guys are awesome! Thanks for meeting us, and a special thanks to Randy and David for bringing part half way, and for the deal on stuff, that is really really much appreciated!!

Here is the link to our little adventure lol : https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-lair.495066/page-1448#post-17004715

So in this trip, I got front Bilstein 5100 mounted in OME 884's coils, 2 TSB leaf pack with 2" AAL, rear billies 5100, 1/4 thick front spacer for the Taco lean, front sway bar relocation kit , home made "prinsu like" cap rack and some really cool stickers from URD, TW express sticker from @fatfurious2 and @WormSquirts Overland Outfitters official sticker too!

Thanks again guys! You are awesome! And TW is awesome. Thanks @tcBob for this website!
