Tough to ship items like that without any damage to the finish.

I will do it all myself, again. :)

I probably won't buy mine coated either. Unless I get the EEbay bumper.
Then I'll bring it to work and grind it off in places and add some strengthening parts.

I don't worry about cosmetic damage to them. I've always had some slight scrapes. And I know I'll get more as the years go on. It's an easy fix. Your best bet is to keep 2 rattle cans of flat black so you can just touch it up as you go.

You laugh. But I was totes serious.

I made sure to tip the bar tenders well. But, they informed me they live 2 blocks over and knew Tuesday and Wednesday would be a great way to make money.

Oh yeah, got a couple left over from the back bumper.

I'm not so worried about it once its installed, stuff happens.

Just didnt want to pay for a PC job and have it shipped over and possibly have the finish be messed up.

Would be too hard for me to get a good match at the house with a rattle can on PC.

So, just ordered it bare steel like last time.

Will get it done much quicker this time as I have more confidence in what Im faced with.

Yeah, I'm fortunate to have awesome industrial services nearby. Choice of Colour Coating is endless.

But you'll save 6 months of waiting time where you'll stare at the bumper in the garage every day while you walk past it.

it's really not. Just lightly spray it. Don't use painters tape on an area and go to town on it. That's when it's noticeable.

Right on...I kind of like painting now.

Pretty gratifying to see something change in your own hands.

And I really like being able to look at all the welds and everything when it first arrives.
