The mods have probably changed since last update.
I currently live up north close to Cedar Park/Round Rock (about fifteen minutes from the Domain)...I'll be moving back down south once our current lease runs up in May though). What about you??

Well damn just missed it! I'm definitely there at the next one. Sounds like a ton of fun and I don't have any fellow Tacoma friends at the moment haha.

And appreciate the suggestion on @Texoma!!

Hey guys I was looking to get Maxtracs spindle loft and from what I was reading most people have the 4” spindles and was wondering if there is a big difference between the 4” spindles and the 6.5” spindles? Any benefit to getting the 6.5?

Also wanted to get your opinions on what setup to get. My 2012 Toyota Tacoma prerunner long bed is stock and I want a higher lift with larger tires that can handle some off-roading nothing to crazy. What do you guys think?

    Thanks in advance

The spindles themselves provide 4" of lift, the 6.5" includes spacers for the top of your coils. I would advise against spacers, so if you are set on 6"+ of lift, then I would look into getting some adjustable Bilstein 5100s.

Ok so 4” from the spindles and 5100s will get me higher in the front and what would best to put for the back to level it out?

I know a few guys in here running the spindles and 885s

Im about to go this route also

Will need something to bump me up to 6" up front and hold the weight of a bumper I just ordered
Spindles and 884s with 5100s set to zero

Will give 6" lift and ride better than stock
    ^^^
OME Dakar leaf packs or All Pro leaf packs or something of the like

Could play with ride height by adding an axle shim or small block or removing/adding leafs

Would it be good to get 5100s for the rear too along with leaf packs?

Would be a better idea to get RCD extended length Bilstein shocks for the rear

More commonly known as Bilstein B110s

Thats what I run and many others with the Dakars

Another good option would be Bilstein 5160s

They are a little more pricey, but have a resi for ballin at the mall purposes

Ok sounds good. As far as the Dakar’s leaf packs go does it matter if I medium duty or heavy duty as far as ride? I’m leaning towards heavy so I can still haul stuff.

And how do you like the ride with your setup?

As of now I am looking at getting the Maxtrac 4” spindles with OME 884 or 885 (not sure which ones would be best), Bilstein 5100s for the front and Bilstein B110 for the rear and OME DakarPKG heavy duty leaf pack.

Am I missing anything or anything I should add with that setup?

I love my Dakars. Feels like I made my truck better!

Also, once you start adding coil lifts in on top of the spindles...

You start getting into the realm of needing an aftermarket UCA for alignment purposes

    No worries at all!!!

Not that having to go with an aftermarket UCA hasnt been done before or anything

It can just add a pretty nice chunk of change to the mix
