Hwy 362 out by my house covered with snow but melted some and ice now!!

The snow has been fun but all the safety features on the 3rd gens it’s very weird! You can’t drift hardly at all it funny feeling the Truck correct itself!

This dang snow day is getting expensive. Looking at lifts, tires and wheels all day. I’ve been resisting the urge to hit the buy button all day, then I get word they’ve canceled operations tomorrow
too. Will be tough to hold back all day again.

And I see there’s gonna be another mod day coming early February

Yea I’m envious of the kit he picked up.

Going back and forth between 5100s/885 (maybe 6112/5160) with 3 leaf progressive AAL or a simple Fox 2.0 stage 1 kit with the same 3 leaf AAL.

I’m really only looking to lift ~1-1.5” and maintain the stock suspension feel as best I can.

Save yourself the effort and do it right the first time. Get better coil overs and an actual leaf kit

Got my 6112s set at 5/6, rides as soft as the stock OR suspension. I also deleted the sway bar, no regrets. I will definitely be down for another mod day, get your stuff ordered.

Thats for all the feedback.

I had a full OME on my last tacoma. It met all my needs, but I felt the Dakar’s where pretty stiff without weight in the back. I don’t have a topper anymore (yet) so that’s the main reason I’m looking at the 3 leaf AAL.

Running the Dakar medium packs, right now no weight in the bed. Plan on adding a cap and lots of extra stuff. I don't think they are overly stiff unweighted, but they are adding 2" of rake atm. Better to just get what you will need than to buy twice.

They definitely felt better the more weight I loaded on them.

Granted, how a suspension feels is purely subjective.

Overall, I find the stock OR suspension to be comfortable and plush. Others have described it as too soft To each his own.
