They do, i was going to go with them and honestly its the smsrter option. Lighter, taller narrower so mostly better offroad in all situations but ive seen zr2s with the 255 and i just couldn’t get over it, looks silly from the back in my mind, pushed the wheels inside the fender where it looks junky and I couldn’t live with that everyday. Looks over function for me i guess. And I couldn’t get the 255 right now anyway in that tire where i could get the 265

My wallet should be able to put some on my 17" rims before the snow melts. No more switching my winters and summers on the same rims.

I am seeing the 255/75's on my rig. I can deal with the look for the function.:bananadead:

Where is it originally from? If it's African or Aussie they do not like the diesel here.
If you don't tow or load up it would be ok.
Mt are also terrible in rain

They just suck in rain usually and also wear out fast.

But ya I've had people mistake duratrac for mud because of the large blocks etc. They are a pretty aggressive all terrain.

Even the Goodyear MTR. If you look on their site the mt is supposed to be 'maximum traction'. They're not actually listed as a mud terrain although they certainly look the part

I would pass, the frame on those is even worse than on tacos if she never took care of it. Ask how long she had it, where it originally came from? If you want one just fly into Cali and get one, they have a bunch there & no rust.
Getting parts would suck, and breaking on the trails will suck even more

If i did do that size i was either cooper stt pro or general grabber x3. X3 was much cheaper though. Cooper is under 32 in that size but i think they said 10.3 wide so its like a 260/75r17 in a way

Yea I am looking at pricing right now, I got quoted the exact same price you did for the firestones.

I have to say the X3's performed amazing on Expedition Overland.

    Edit:

This is what happens when you get in over your head with numbers. I am math retarded and tires have always confused me. I switched KG for LBS with the load index, which is why I was like how the fuck have my tires not just blown off my rig. @Joe23 is correct and the stocks are C range as well, and it should not be a problem.

    Load index 111 is 2403 lbs a tire @ 50 PSI

They didnt use the X3 until I think the return to the mackenzie, but it looks like its in the zone I want. Not full MT, but not AT. I duno, I am confused myself as to exactly what I want. :frusty:

I am convinced I use my truck off road to much to purchase AT's. I want more beefy treads to be grabbin at sheet.

Ronny told me if I use my truck even 5 times a month off road I probably want MT's. :anonymous:

Sometimes I go do directly from work out to trails for 30 - 45 minutes, home eat supper, get the wife. Back out till dark.

We use it 5 times a week off road in the summer, and that was when it was draggin its belly all around. I only see using it more.

Haha, Ronny is also living on the other side of the world and doesn't know our terrain. Unless you plan on constantly hit mud I would get AT.

    This guy is doing okay:

I will let you know in the summer how are they, because I am going to beat the crap out of the tires. :burnrubber:

So get an "aggressive AT" tire like GY Duratrac or Cooper STMaxx. ;)

I have waited 2 years, so I am not going to get it wrong. I was just so scared of tires because of how complicated they are and unlimited options. I wanted to simply know more about the truck in general.

I have now met the requirements, to find the right ones for me :spy:

MT's are not just for mud. I will not be in mud very much at all.

Going to reference Ronny again, he might be in Australia but he lives 4x4.

Same thing @tacoma16 is saying. Those Cooper STMaxx look pretty aggressive you are correct.

    consider the MTR then?

I know Wayne from ronnys videos loves them. I messaged him on IG about them when I realized he had them since I was considering them and he said they're great. Watching the modified video on his cruiser right now and he's on his second set so must be pretty happy with them to be buying again.

Didn't ask him but I have heard from people from OF4WD though that they aren't the greatest for rain.
