Well you certainly have jumped right in there and done cool mods already! we may need to talk about the osram H4 headlight mod as I need to do something to improve my headlights. You've got some great stuff ordered i'm anxious to see how all this goes!

Thanks! Yeah, i'm excited. You all weren't kidding when you said the "modding doesn't stop". I have had to put a little stop on it just for the time being just to help the wallet from taking a beating hah but i'm real excited for when suspension gets finished along with wheels thursday. I'll post new pics then.

The osram nightbreakers are fantastic by the way, the light is brighter and not "white" but much nicer than the yellow you'd see from the stock bulb. I didn't do the ultimate light upgrade but these were certainly an upgrade I could see. I'll put some pics of that up too.

What did you do with the back end? It looks nice and level. What do you think about it?

Haha thanks for the big congrats!! It is level right now but I'm waiting on some custom alcan leaf Springs to come in so I can bump the back a bit and have some better ride quality.

I want a little bit of rake for the few times I load the back for going up north!

Ok if your going to eplace the springs go ahead and call Wheeler's and order the Allpro U-bolt flip and get the supper bumps that go with it and the superbumps for the front as well. If not in a couple of months you'll figure out it's something you want anyway. The Ubolt flip is simply Ubolts that come up from the bottom instead of down from the top which puts all your nuts and the plate above the axle instead of underneith where it canget banged up on stuff.

What's a bonus? Get your suspension al squared away then step back and take a breath. Take it out and try it on the trail and see what you think. If you get the stuff i mentioned in the previous post about all you'll have left for suspension is upper control arms

lol, its that tiny bit of money I get to replenish this little hobby before it poofs into thin air. Agreed, Once the rear stuff is done I want to enjoy it a bit. We're due to head up north and a few other places soon with friends and the rear leaf springs should be here and installed by then.

I went out (made an excuse to the wife) and ventured into an old abandoned park and ride with pot holes. The new suspension already goes through noticeably nicer than the older stuff.

The other stuff I mentioned for the back is only a suggestion but if your going to have it all broken down to install the leafs and you can afford it it's a good time to do it. Wait until you get the sliders on

If i can get some cash back from the wheels, and other stock parts I took off I think i'll be good to snag these and just be done with it. Thankfully I was able to sell a few things this past weekend which helped crunch a little cost but i'm going to post the stuff on a few places (haven't reached my 30 days here so can't post here yet) and see what I can get. plus i need my garage real-estate back!

Thanks man. I appreciate it and I've gotta say i'm pretty psyched. First vehicle i've really put the effort in to actually do something with in regards to mods. I'm really happy with how it has turned out. As always, appreciate the pointers :bananadance:

That's the fun part of this. Build it to suit your needs. There are plenty of cookie cutter builds through out TW and they ae great trucks but only you know what will really bennifit you the most. Make it your own creation and enjoy it.
It's like I just installed a CB. There are alot of people around here with CB's and if i need help I can reach out. Where you live I imagine when you go out way from civilization there probably isn't many people so a ham radio with a much greater range may be your choice.

haha, feels bad man. I am in suspense waiting for my new skid, sliders and custom Alcan springs!

On the bright side though, going to go wheeling this weekend to really break in the new suspension with a buddy. Going to snatch some pictures/video of the adventure and post back how things are moving! :drunk:

That I can't wait to see! Did you have a chance to look at the wheeler's super bumps and the U-bolt flip kit? it's nothing that has to be done but if replacing the springs may as well do it all at once if ya can. SOS Concepts is also having their anual tax time sale beginning on 2-15 should be 15-20% off.
