    Tried to install a console safe in the Tundra tonight. Why the f*ck is quality so crap these days? The company making the product is right down the road in SA, and seem to be good folks, but it no fittee...

    My undergrad is Manufacturing Engineering, so I've spent puhlenty of time on shop floors, and I think product quality is in steep decline, compared to not so long ago.

    Nah, just emailed the owner, telling him to send me an RMA label. He gets his junk back, I get my money back, and I move on.

    You'd appreciate this, though, with your wrenching skeelz... It's kind of a PITA when the ratchet used to turn the two bolts in that would have secured the safe can only be turned about 25 degrees at a time. Tightening, and after seeing this sh*t ain't going to work, loosening. I was using three extensions, (which is all I own for a 3/8" drive), and couldn't clear the top of the safe.

    I think I was about 73% through that activity when I decided I wasn't going to take a replacement, but rather my money back. My name isn't "QC".
