Bed rail Allen wrench

So Im trying to add a bed rail but the 4mm is too small, and the 5mm is too big. I almost stripped one trying the 4mm. Anyone know the proper size?

 

Do you have any standard allen wrenches to try?

 

All I have is 3-6mm

I was going to head out to autozone but I didn’t want to start buying and returning wrenches lol.

 

I think they are torxe

 

T27 or 30 I think

 

Ohhh man. THis happened to me about a year ago OP. I really f'ed up mine badly, and I had to get two of my co workers and some really strange looking extractor torx nuts and bolts to fashion a jerry rigged "impact wrench" to remove it, and I was lucky to say the least. Learned my lesson though. My mistake was using an allen bit on my drill and trying to remove it quick and in style. I wish you good luck.

Im adding one so I can load up my road bike.. this was not as simple as I initially planned lol.

 

Definitely a lot easier with the right tools, but gets expensive if you have to keep buying every specialty tool they make.

 

Where are you located? Lots of locals probably have one you could use for 5 minutes
