My wife is fine with the RTT but sleeping on the ground is an absolute no.

Slept in a tent on the ground once. Never again. Bought two sweet oversized cots for the second trip. Never again.

    So hotels it is!

Ha! That brick mailbox at the bottom of the hill......my folks built it. Grew up in that house with the big porches.

We did that too at first but that got expensive reaaaaaallly fast. A 900$ tent was justifiable at that point

I’m still holding onto a lil bit of hope. Might be a losing battle though.

Add up how much you spend in hotel costs plus the added gas to leave the park or wheeling location for a weekend (2 nights) and I added in food costs because we could cook at night camping and show it to her

I’ve thought about a teardrop or an adventure lite or similar small TT. The small TT is a touch pricy but has some amenities

Click on the camper build in my sig. The dealer is in Orange and he carrys several different little off road campers and trailers with rtt's. We've had a ball so far with this one. next on the list is the fridge, dual batteries, solar, and hot water with a shower and ports pottie. It's already prewired for solar.

Yes. Headed toward the water. Down the hill. Brick mailbox across from the start of the marsh. My folks built the house in the 70s when the only thing past the house were two farms on the water. Dad bought the lots from Mr Kline himself.
That old man was pretty funny. I was about 10 when he died but he handed me a $1 bill every time he saw me. Also couldn’t back up a vehicle to save his life. 2 out of 3 tries backing out of our driveway and he was in the ditch. And the guy had no excuses as he owned and opened RK Chevrolet! He knew his way around cars.

That’s damn cool. Wife would likely want a bit more space. A while back I poked around at the Camp Lite offerings. Basically a compact TT. Some of em even have a crapper.

Some wild looking concepts. They look disjointed in some aspects but very well designed. Their Mantis looks more up my wife’s alley. Thanks for sharing!

Sure the guy that designs these things is or was a NASA engineer so that's why you get the funny shapes I guess

I saw mention of NASA on the site. Definitely makes sense. Other priorities at the moment but I may to go drop a few hints. Cool thing about these is that our ‘17 MDX is capable of towing the majority of them as well. Could make staying at the in laws a bit more bearable

With you being in Richmond, Orange is just right up the road maybe take a ride up and poke around one day. The guy Warren that owns the place is wonderful to deal with even if he knows your just kickin tires for now. It would let you put hands on and actually get in one. They are pricy though
