Choppy road / Rumble strip feeling in 3rd gear between 1500-2000rpm

    Hi members,
    My 2016 4wd has recently begun what I described in the thread title. I need to lean on you for some guidance. If I'm accelerating, light on the throttle, once I seem to hit 3rd gear the truck shakes pretty badly, to the point where I'm watching my cell shake in its vent mount. This happens after the shift, only in that one gear, while the rpms pass from 1500 to 2000, then its smooth. If I get on the gas a bit and kick it down a gear, it stops. If I accelerate quickly, it doesn't happen.
    It feels like the rear axle is bouncing up and down. My searches for others with a similar reported condition led me to threads about possible low tranny fluid from the factory, to possibly u joints, to a bunch of different conditions on older Tacomaa. A lot of what I've been finding relates to a vibration at higher speeds or something felt in the floorboards or steering wheel. My condition seems more unique.

    Has anyone experienced something similar to this? I have 38k miles. I've owned the truck for 6 months and 8k of those miles.

    I have this SAME issue and it's driving me crazy!!!! Literally just bought a new transmission and it's bugging me like crazy and it's the EXACT same description as your issue. Did you ever end up fixing it? I would LOVE to know what you did to solve this low-end lugging issue. The vibration feels terrible especially under more weight in the back or anything right around 2K rims it's terrible in 3rd.

    Mine just recently started doing this exact thing in 3rd gear and right around 1500 rpm and I’m curious if you eve found out the cause?
