I'm looking for a bed rack that fits over a Softopper. I don't want to do any drilling yet, so hopefully it just clamps on with the softopper.

I tried using search function, but couldn't find much for 3rd gens with softoppers. I would like to see what my options are. Does anyone have links, or name of company that makes some?

Right here. And you can use it with your tonneau cover.

I am about to punch the ticket on this bad boy. Talked with the folks at Softopper and they said that any rack that works with a regular shell should work with theirs. This seems strong enough to hold a roof top tent (my plan!), fits our trucks, and is affordable. Oh, and there isn't a 6 week wait to have it shipped. Seems like a win to me!

Edit: Purchased. Paid $525 including shipping. I can let people know how it turns out if anyone is interested. Might be a few weeks though, about to move.

Update on this. Rack looks great but it sticks out REALLY far from the side of the truck. Going to see if they can send me something that still lets it wrap around a Softopper, but doesn't stick way out from the side.

have you looked into Dissent OffRoad. He has designed a rack that goes over the SofTopper @Dissent86

@Tacomamike mike is running this rack as well.

@scottsglack29 yeah I have. Looks like they make nice stuff but there are a few things I don't like about it. #1, Price! #2, you can't put the topper up and down with the rack on, so what's the point in having a softopper at all then? #3, I don't actually have a Tacoma any more, have a Suzuki Equator now, and their racks don't fit my truck. I think I should be able to make this vantech one work with a little bit of modification.

    @scottsglock29 thanks for the mention!
The sides and back can still be rolled up on the topper, the point of the topper is to keep your gear out of the elements.
The only reason I could see needing to fold the top down is to haul tall items, at this point the rack will limit that so why would there be a need to collapse the top?

Softtopper. Custom rack to go over the Softopper.
Came up with my own design after seeing pictures of other racks. I came up with something that will allow the full use of the truck bed, and still be able to collapse the Softopper. 20181222_093118.jpg 20181222_093046.jpg

slowly dreaming up one of my own as well.

Scored a free rack on CL the other day that I'm planning to modify. Any pics of your bed rail mounts? Does the softopper rest on top of the flat bar?

@KB Voodoo Do you sell just the side plates, and what's the inside distance between the two legs?

Hoping to start this thread up again.

I'm looking for a 2016+ Tacoma bedrack that fits over a softtopper. Can't seem to find one anywhere. All Pro no longer makes them apparently, and everyone online across the forums just say they custom make theirs.

Does anyone know where I can buy one online?

Jerry at BAMFdoes not make them.
Tracy at All Pro does not make them.
Datin Fabrication does not makes them.
KB Voodoo does not make them.

SOS Concepts seem to make them, but communication with Eddy has been tough.

Does anyone know where I can currently buy one of these online? The internet is flooded with pictures of these but I can't find anywhere that actually sells them.

(photo is what I'm looking for)
