    I didn't do this on my TJ when I put the Ford 8.8 in the rear. I let them back brakes work. Lol

    Wouldn't do it on something I go down the interstate often in though.

    It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
    custom maker, schmuston maker. those guys are making a killing and more power to them. i really only like axis over frame because its faster for me with one hand. i like the lock thats on para2s for the same reason, even though im sure its not a stout. im not batoning wood with a 3.5" pocket knife, and ive never seen one fail. what you got your eye on now?

    Think Im going V8 4runner if I still can't find an access cab tundra when the time comes. Found a few that I really like. Will have the v8 for towing the trailer and boat around still being compact and not full size. Now the whole not having a bed thing to consider.:facepalm:

    Actually back locks are the strongest forms of folding knife locks. The triad lock from cold steel is legitimately the strongest lock for a folding knife. My problem is the detent of the axis lock. Frame lock ball detents are simply the best.

    When I started modding it. More than likely it will just get bilstein 5100. I don't want 10k in aftermarket parts this time around, can't afford it. But you are correct they would look sexy.

    i sliced my finger on a mini grip reaching for my wallet 7 or 8 years ago. i never put it together that the detent was directly related to the lock. good info

    i wish i had never modded the 3rd gen and just got a 1st gen or *gasp* jeep to wheel

    parts are so much cheaper for both of them :frusty:

    Yes sir. And a good detent makes for an excellent flipper. which is my favorite deployment method.

    @whitedlite

    Here is the preload on my kings.

    I’m sitting at 23” on both sides which is 2” of lift. The drivers side was stopping the holes you adjust it with so I couldn’t go higher. I’m not sure why it stopped adjusting..
