I don't have it wired up yet. I'm waiting to put in my Aux fuse block and then rewire my current Piaa's, Winch, and CB, add the lightbar... I'll let you know when I drive with it though... probably a couple weeks out as I'm traveling for business all next week.

Got it all wired up today. Drove the freeway, 80 MPH no noticeable wind noise at that speed. Very happy. I'll take a picture of how I wired Tomorrow.

I'm installing an aux fuse block tomorrow and should have it all hooked up then. Was the glare that bad? I'm not interested in putting up a visor but maybe won't have to with my light...

The glare on mine was enough to make it so I couldn't use it in the areas I use it. In this picture, you can see that the light projects low enough to light up my pillar pod. With even just a little dust, it starts getting to the point that it is hard on the eyes. One note on my setup, my mounts are moved back about an inch, so the cutoff is a little further back. I set my visor up so that the cutoff is just barely on the edge of the deflector on the hood.

Just installed the LED bar and mount on my 2015 DCB yesterday from rough country. Pretty easy and turned out great. mount seems to be sturdy but we'll see when I take it to the car wash.

Any updates on the RC light bars or mounts? Thinking of buying the curved 40inch X5 with the OEM roof rack mounts.

@WPNZ that's exactly what I have and I like it. Eventually I might get a expedition one rack but for now OEM roof mounted rough country x5 is what I have

Everything is currently stock except the Tacoma tonal cover (highly recommended)
Has anyone used these mounts on a 3rd gen (2016-17)?
Im trying to mount a light bar up there, instead of attaching directly to the truck.

Or are there any other mounts that work for the OEM rails?

@TacoLuv#1 The OEM Roof Rack is the same for the 3rd Gen. These brackets should work the same and should fit properly. I would measure the width to confirm that a 40" lightbar will fit... and you should be good after that. If there is 40-42" gap you should be able to use these. You can also look at Cali Raised or a bumper light bar.

How does the light deflector work? Do you like it? Where did you get it?

I got it from a member here that was making and selling them. Unfortunately, after another member didnt get what they paid for, I will no longer send him business.

It works wonderfully after I fixed a couple issues. I have the cut off line right at the edge of my hood deflector.
