This one pisses me off to no end. Not only does it take longer for the door to open than if you opened it yourself, but you're also just advertising "I'm lazy." In college, people would just saunter up to the door, tapping away on Facebook, blocking the way so no one could get around them, and.....just.......wait.....til the door full opened.......B!tch, I'm not on scholarship like your lazy @ss, and I actually care about making it to my midterm ontime!

Special Olympics?



So yesterday after 12hrs at work (in 28° weather) I had to stop in my local grocery store on my way home for milk. I chose the shortest line, ended up being a mistake, got stuck behind one of those "oh but this was buy one get one, and the sale price is a whole 2 cents off, I have a coupon for everything" etc people. Being already tired and just wanting to be home with my milk so I could make myself food and sleep my disgruntled brain got the better of me I started looking around so I wouldn't just be starting daggers at this lady, and saw a little sign on the register saying they were taking donations for the Special Olympics, all I could think was no one's ever given me a buck for running like a retard... Then naturally I felt like a total ass for thinking that so of course when I finally got to check out I had to give them a dollar.

Run lill sped run!

 

Feels good to give back!!! I always try to when out and about.

When I was working at Randalls (did 4.5yrs in 7 departments)

I was always the top person to raise money for whatever was up that month.

 

Yeah it does! Back in the day in JROTC we did some volunteer work with the Special Olympics, those guys are serious athletes, I make fun but damn some of those guys were really good, and all of them were better than me I'm sure!

 

I make it a point to give to Charity. If it comes to Vets than I usually give a crisp $20. For about Ten years straight did Salvation army angels and always bought the kid a new bike and some clothes and shoe's. I count my blessings

Growing up in a military family (Marine brat) I got a soft spot for vets too. Last time I gave a vet a $20 I'm pretty sure I was just pan handled but fuck it, worst case I gave a prick a freebie, best case I genuinely helped a vet out.

Either way, damn pan-handlers here in Florida.

 

Homeless people around my town are becoming more and more.
