At first the shit looked crazy! My mom got here first and called me. Said the roof calaps from all the ice? I got here and water was pouring down. And pushing it' way out the front door. I said ice doesn' melt like this. Got a flash light and saw water gushing out from a pipe.

Still sucks. I always have to explain to people from the north that our problem with the cold isn't as much ice and roads, as it is water pipes. I can deal with roads and stupid people, but there is only so much you can do with water pipes that are exposed, and delivery pipes that run in the roof/attic area.

Speaking of card. The strip on my card doesn' work all the time. I found out, if you go and use your card inside.tell them the amount you want. Then if you don' pump the amount you said. The rest just goes back into your card.

I know I carry both cash and card just for those situations, but my boys don't, mostly just carry a card and feel like "if they want my money, they will take a card....". Kids.... oh, well.

Feel for you, out for a couple days and losing more being cash only, gotta hurt.

@357sig If you get desperate just go buy a square reader for $10 at Target. Works from your cell phone. You can set it up to deposit directly into a bank account once a day and they only charge you a percentage of the transaction unlike most card companies that charge so much for having the card reader regardless of using it or not + a transaction fee.
