Came home early to these babies on the porch...lugged em up 3 flights to my apartment only to lug em back down later this week. Hoping to get these installed the end of this week. Really excited to get these on the truck, will be getting a 5th soon (assuming I like them) only bought 4 new wheels for the time being.IMG_3666.jpg

I am considering doing 5 and rotating all 5...theoretically that should increase the wear since the miles will be spread over 5 tires instead of 4. Of course I would need to find another Pro wheel.

After getting talked into load range E BFG AT KO2s, let’s just say I’m having Discount Tire take these back and mount up the Falkens this weekend. I want my smooth ride back. I feel everything with these KO2s. Not worth it for the daily driver

I don't see any reason to run a stiffer, heavier tire for daily driving. Only if you tow a lot.

This forum is obsessed with this bro thing... I’m guessing it’s the younger generation around here?

But seriously, it’s way overused and sends the wrong signal to folks that would have maybe considered something like KO2 BFGs, which are in fact an incredible tire, on and off-road.

But yeah, turned in the bro card long ago anyways, so no worries there

    Welcome to TW.

Seeing as you just joined 48hrs ago, I’ll give you the heads up. Prepare for a lot of sarcasm (ie. see above bro card statement) from young and old.

Personally, I didn’t like the one set of BFG KOs I ran back in the day and haven’t run a BFG since then. I started running Coopers and ended up becoming a fanboy of the other TW bro tire, the Cooper STMaxx. I love that tire. Unfortunately, it too only comes in an E load tire so I might give the Falken AT3w a shot this time around.

It’s all good. I’m just as much of a clown as anyone else I’m sure.

Yeah, I’m just not sold on E Rated tires with this truck. Rides too good on lighter tires, so keeping with the theory that the P series Wildpeaks will ride more like stock. Will give the run down on that once I get them on.

KO2s have pretty much been my go to tire. They’ve suevived 3 trips to Moab, dozens of rocky trails in Colorado, and the sandy stuff in AZ/NM. But I’m not blind to the fact that there’s possibly better tires out there, I’ve just never known or tired anything else besides a few lousy MT tires.

How are the 285/75/16's for a daily driver? I have the LT Cooper AT3s now... Same size. I'm about 95% on the Falkens being my next tire.

I feel like my Wildpeaks have gotten louder recently. I have kept an eye on pressure and it is set correctly. I have about 7k miles on them. It may be a wheel bearing though, need it to warm up so I can check. Without looking through 140 pages, does anyone know how much tread came on 265/75/16 SL?

5100's all around, OME 887 with 1/4" spacer, icon 3 leaf aal. 255/75/17 BFG KM's on 4runner pro's. Rigid led pods. Debadged and tinted.
Most of the early posts said 13/32 new on SL tires, falken was a bit optimistic.

How do they fit? What did you have to trim?
